Maybe I am missing something... (Ruler Designer Dragon Rider)

Dragon Rider and Egg can be chosen at startup.

GREAT!!

Now what? I have no dragon as a rider, I don't know anything about how or where to hatch the eggs and I don't know how to, um, "go places" of importance. I tried going to the volcanic area in Essos but couldn't even land or walk through it. I don't know if Dragon Riders in Ruler Designer should come with a dragon; it doesn't.

So, how do I um... hatch this egg?

If you have the dragon rider trait and no dragon, you will get an event within a few days that spawns a dragon for you.

Thanks, I wondered. I don't normally unpause until I have a few affairs in order, and some kind of understanding of where I am and whats going on. Between the swords, and the dragon hatching, you really have some amazing stuff in this mod. My favorite part of this mod is being able to interact with, and engage the systems that impact my experience in the game, while in Vanilla you often have no real choices or means to interact. "Here, wanna sleep with this whore who has syphilis? No? Fine, you are a chaste homosexual.", and "Woah you got Diligent and Brave? Here, now you are craven... and wroth."

I like being able to feel like the choices I am making have an impact on what happens. It almost feels like my choices are directing the events, rather than events just happening and doing bad things to me.
