Well I dunno how much time I can devote to it anymore, but any of the graphics I made for it are still free to be used by anyone, with proper credit of course

I can't launch the scenario It says (at downloading screen) "(type=7/id=6910), (type=7/id=24000), (type=7/id=24001) a.t.c. does already exist. What should I do to launch the game ?

sorry about not getting back to anyone about this, got blind sided by some things in life id rather not go into, yeah i have all the old files and i had put some work into it there for awhile though like i said got blind sided by some serious stuff and had to side track a lot of things, im still up for doing this though, so if anyone is still up for it let me know and ill start working on it again

Well... I've been lately doing some necromancy with the MDS files. And I didin't actually paid much attention to the last post and reworked myself all tags (all countries available in 1952) to adapt MDS to V:R. The 1952 scenario is now stable (I could play til late 70's without any crash). I've also done some graphic work, e.g. country leaders and some new icon for capitals. But I didn't compress any files in order to offer them in an attachment – specially because I've been working on these files on a regular basis.
But the MDS files still need a full party, techs, ai, OOB and economy rework, besides a massive pack of events. If anyone wants to help with this, I would apreciate. For now I'll start reworking the revolt.txt file, editing it to avoid weird things like an catholic South Vietnam.

Please upload what you got now on Rapidshare; I can start with main events for Eastern Europe straight away. Well, at least political events for a start - I wouldn't be able to do "breakthrough" technical event if technlology tree is not done.
We need to make sure that one person (Sen. Vergueiro ) have the most up-to date version of mod; all "working" files should be sent back to him when part of the jo is done.
Are you sure that Vic 2 will not be first?

btw, it reminded me something. Before you submitt it, would it be possible to change American't tag to one of extra tags, rather then using originall USA tag? USA tag has programmed large size of immigration, which is completly unreasonalbe in moder world.

I'll try to get a compressed bundle ready. But this might be a bit too big, since I had to reorganize some flags.
I've been also working on the technologies ans at units, but they're all but skeches. But your idea of taking another tag for USA is quite reasonable. I also made some thought about this, but I was too focused in stabilizing the game. My fist thought was to assing the original USA tag to the UN or EU – if they ever become a real coutry – since I assume they would have such enormous immigrant attraction power.
About events, any events are wealcome. But I was thinking about some events for West/East Germany and Socialist bloc. Butfor now, I'll keep up the hard work with tags and country scripts.
I wouldn't assign USA tag to any of country. Size of immigration it had in XIX century is simply uncomparable to anything else after that.
UN - I wouldn't do UN as country at all - it should rather appear in events to me. I know it would be nice to have UN forces in war zones (forces sent by other countries) however I don't really think it is a way to have it done realisticly.
So, when could we start? If I have list of tags I can start working on political events.

You mentioned catholic Vietnam. I think we should replace exisitng "pagan" religion by "atheism" and make it "religion" of communist countries. Also, we need to think about "secularised" religion for Western societies/countries.

I had some problems with USA. I couldn't assign any tag to USA. I wonder if it's hard-coded, since I already changed tags for Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia.
In this bundle USA is still USA, since I need an operating MDS to test modifications. Later on I'll try to change USA tag to U09, as for now, I'm working on the revolt.txt file.

Unpack it on a fresh V:R 2.01. Make sure you run the specific NTL program for V:R before playing (included in the bundle).
