I have noticed this after the cleared for transfer dlc
When the meals quantity is set to high (any variety) the food deployment tab shows that the meal supply meets the meal demand (the cooks Finish cooking the food 1-2 hour before mealtime so it is not a lack of supply or less number of cooks issue), But when the prisoners start eating , 2/3 of the population eats all the meals and the cooks start cooking again. It doesnt happen at medium and low quantity settings regardless of meal variety.
The issue seems to be like that high quantity game perceives the production of food as medium quantity and consumption as high.
