Some questions for the devs about KtS, mostly related to the mechanics of the DLC.
  • Since the Horse Lords tradition is being removed, how will non-Nomadic cultures like the Avars and Alans have access to Horse Archers now? And what about settled rulers like the Alids in 1066 who are Karluks?
  • Are Nomads locked to tribal era innovations like tribal rulers are or can they access later innovations as well?
  • Will non-steppe Nomads have generic flavor or use steppe flavor like having their council be called a Kurultai like the Mongols and Turks, or use a Mongol style yurt for their court?
  • What kinds of court types will Nomads have access to? Tribal? The same settled rulers use? Will there an unique court type for nomads?
  • Can tribal rulers become nomadic if they conquer some steppe/herder territory?
  • What types of holdings can Nomadic rulers use? It was mentioned that they can use, but not improve, castles but does this apply to other types as well? Are there other types of holdings they can improve, maybe tribal?
  • Are there travel restrictions for landless nomads? For example, can I travel into Iran to try and establish myself there or I am limited to traveling around the steppe? Or do I need to become an adventure to move out of the steppe?
  • I assume that we can raise armies and hunt in the territories of our tributaries?
  • Will vassal wars between nomads still require claims or will they get something similar to the clash CBs from Fate of Iberia?
  • Any chance of getting a Tengri version of the Hall of Heroes?
  • What are the restrictions for becoming clan as a nomad? It seems like it is no longer limited to Muslims only, which would be great because I've found being feudal on the steppe annoying from both roleplay and historicity angles.
  • Will settled Turk and Mongol rulers in all start dates be feudal or will some be changed to clan?
  • Will the northern taifas in 1066 be tributaries of the Jimenez brothers?
  • Will settled Mongols still use forms of address like count and duke or will they get some new ones?
  • Are any characters outside of the ones in the new bookmarks going to get set traits in the update? Thinking of the rulers of the Khazars, Oghuz, and Kyrgyz in 867 in particular.
  • Any chance of changing "Genghis" to "Chinggis"?
  • Could you change the dynastic name Enisey Kyrgyz to just Enisey because Enisey Kyrgyz Kyrgyz is weird?

Perhaps settled Mongol counts could use the title darugachi/darugha/basqaq? At least administritive Mongols should use it.
Edit: The latest stream uses beg- iltabar-Yabghu for count-duke-kings

Do you have argumentation for this? While initially based on a mistake, Genghis is just kind of universally accepted in English now. These things are obviously also easily modded.

I don't really see the issue with it being Genghis as that is what people would know. Bit of the same like how we call Marcus Antonius Mark Antony, even though we'd name his father Marcus Antonius.
