Have you found all the targets of opportunity? I remember finding the Rust Heart objective as a kid, but it's eluded me ever since. (it's a crashed dropship IIRC)

I just looked through the map by maxing out the view range and using the free look camera cheat to quickly explore and besides 4 enemy mechs, the convoy, the base, and the map's crystals it looks like there are no targets of opportunity. The only possibility I can see is a friendly object is actually the objective somehow or the crystals on the map are the targets. It's possible you're recalling the Wolf's mission with the crashed dropship as both missions do take place on the same map.

I'll poke around and see if I can discover anything else.

I really enjoyed the run as well. It was a great idea.

I don't think the Kitfox Challenge will be doable in Ghost Bear Legacy, however I am excited to see the attempt and see how far it goes. If he can beat it, that will be an epic run.

It's that last mission IMHO. No where to maneuver, no distance to place. That mission has always been about slugging it out. You get hammered by pulse lasers before you even finish powering up.

Yeah, if he somehow gets past that, it would be sheer luck.

On a side note, if he does a MW2:Mercs challenge (gets it working), I wonder what mech would be picked for that?

If I do Mercs I'm actually going to do a "Mission Failed" challenge and play through all of the alternate missions you can only unlock by losing yet surviving.

I may use cheats on the last mission of GBL to kill the turrets and then see if I can kill the mechs regularly. I highly doubt I can even power up before dying there.

That reminds me Kilroy, there is a way to mod mechs into the Mech2 Mercs campaign. I'd have to look up how it's done (it requires some hex editing) but it works. My last Mercs campaign was played 100% in a Timber Wolf

That sounds interesting! I'm 99% sure I'd somehow break the game trying to do that but I could give it a shot.

The biggest hassle in my way is that my screen recorders don't even want to capture Mercs. Still trying to work through that without having to purchase a more advanced piece of software.
