I play dozens of games, never had an issue, it's only CK3

P.S: I also reported the product on Steam for "Broken"
The windows issue also affects newer assassin creed games, hitman any thing that requires, I suppose, specific loading methods. Windows is basically not allowing access to your memory, RAM/pagefiles, properly.

The best way to confirm that this has nothing to do with PDX is because Microsoft/players listed effected games on their bug report forums. There is absolutely nothing PDX can do for the crashing issue in dx11

On some level, if a publisher is selling a game as "compatible with Windows", it's the publisher's responsibility to write code that works on Windows, not Microsoft's responsibility to modify Windows until it's compatible with the publisher's code.
So if MS release a broken Windows version, it is up to the millions of app developers to re-write their products to not trigger that Windows problem. Not on MS to fix it. Okay then.
if other companies are producing software that doesn't suffer from this crash, then it looks like a Paradox issue.
So if a Windows problem does affects other apps and games but not every single app, it's Paradox's bug. Okay then.

Ok, I have given Paradox the benefit of the doubt in regards to the Windows 11 update issue for literal months now. But it has gotten to the point where it's getting ridiculous. This issue popped up back in October of 2024, it has been half a year that your player base has had to suffer with this beyond game-breaking issue, as it's literally crashing people's entire systems.

We can blame Microsoft all we want, and I sympathize with the position that Paradox is in. But Windows is your main platform you're developing the game for, is it not? If Microsoft makes changes to their OS that conflicts with your game, it's your job to develop around that in order to make it compatible to run on that OS. If Microsoft hasn't resolved this issue yet, and you have no indication that it will be getting resolved anytime soon, if ever, then you need to do something to work around it, and make the game compatible. If not, then put a disclaimer on the store page that the game is not functional on the latest version of Windows 11. It's ridiculous that you'd still sell a game to people, knowing it will likely freeze their system, without any type of disclaimer.

Microsoft is currently pushing everyone on Windows 10 to upgrade to Windows 11, this issue is only going to get worse as more people feel forced onto Windows 11 in order to get continued support from Microsoft. How long are you willing to wait for Microsoft to fix this issue? Indefinitely?

After long time, the bug might become ''feature'', like Minecraft

Exactly, yes, specifically Windows 11 24H2 which causes the PC freeze issue.

I have Ubuntu 22.04 and the game also crashes after the loading screen.
Just bought the DLC today. Before the DLC everything worked fine.
I use Vulkan. I have Radion.
No help on the ticket from support. Reinstall and that's all.

They don't, they get the Win11 24H2 issue. Which is clearly and explicitly a MS problem.

Can you explain to the community why it is only happening with Crusader Kings 3 game then if it's a specific Windows 11 issue. I have at least done some research and leg work with my logs and evidence in the thread i posted.

Yet you just said it's not a CK3 issue and it's a Windows 11 issue without any research or evidence.

Also I need to mention because some people refused to see my view point but I hate Microsoft and Windows 11 however shifting the blame with no evidence or research is very frustrating to someone who has done research for around a week in total, with logs, screenshots and potential fixes

There have been reports on YOUR own forums that Linux users are getting the same issues or similar
The PC freeze issue? I do pretty much all the technical support here, including Mac and Linux, and I don't recall any such.

I'm also on Windows 10 right now. Game is definitely crashing much more often than before and I experience freezes during Loading.
Please make a new thread in Tech Support here, supply all files and problem history there, and I'll see if I can help.

Are you not getting alot of crashes?

Nope. It's crashed once since the new update and I've been playing a few hours nearly every day, and considering I'm using a mod for a different version of the game I'm not ready to blame that on the game.

I'm not sure if it's related to this issue at all.

I started playing this patch, sometimes the game would load easily, sometimes sound would stop, then I'd realize my mouse was lagging a little bit, tried to ctrl alt del and either nothing happened, or I had a total PC freeze. This happened more often than not.

I had this happen once while in the game when I tried to load an earlier autosave too.

So I downloaded the latest Nvidia drivers, tried to allow the dev branch thingie on windows update (didn't change my version, it just downloaded some new version of .Net) and even installed the latest MOBO bios, just in case (mine wasn't outdate, it was from november last year anyway).

For some reason it stopped doing that, game was running fine, I've played for many, many hours.

Then one day, I think a couple of days ago, it froze like usual, I thought that wasn't happening anymore.

So I restarted, have played since without any freezing/crashes.

But I did notice yesterday the game, while running, bugged out my sound and I felt my mouse stuttering for a moment during the gameplay, I'm not sure if it was autosaving or what, but it was brief and then everything returned to normal, I've also noticed that the game can simply crash, sometimes, when loading a save file and while saving sometimes sound goes mute for a second, I don't know if it's related to the issue at all, but it's weird, other games don't do this.

I've also played Stellaris all day yesterday, zero problems.

My config, if it helps
i9 14900k
3080 ti
64gb ddr5 6400
Game's installed on an SSD.

And yes, i'm aware of the intel issues, I had an i9 13900k with those issues, contacted them, got it replaced with an 14900k that quite literally blew up and took out my PSU and mobo, they replaced it again, now I'm on my third one that's supposed to be new and free from any issues.

Now if you allow me to quote form literally 7 messages above yours

Are paradox AND ubisoft responsible for this one system-version-specific issue, or maybe, just maybe, it's the OS's fault?

While working IT for 30 years I had ample opportunity to work with Microsoft support and I gotta say that my sympathies are with Paradox and not Microsoft. Working with Microsoft is usually like trying to talk to a blank wall. Usually it takes months to even get an acknowledgement from MS that the problem exists. Good luck, Paradox.

EDIT: Counted again and used my toes this time as well. I was mistaken. It was closer to 40 years. Sheesh!
