Is it a bug? Germany is united, USSR and Yugoslavia are balkanized, modern african states, Vietnam is united... What is the problem? The game map is fine, but it's still annoying the the menu map isn't a "real" 1949 map.

Absolutely agree. It is frustrating for me to see Crimea as part of UkrainianSR in 1949, but it was "transfered" to them from RSFSR only in 1954.
