Since there is now a shiny happy beta forum for the public beta, should there be a beta-bug thread?

Hm........I'll have a chat with Havard on that one.

Obviously I meant "beta bug forum", not thread.

Two choices:

1) Yes, but beta bugs should be clearly delineated - perhaps by the convention of naming threads in the form of "Beta - [beta patch] - [descriptive title]

2) No, but put them in the beta sub-forum in some similar thread naming format [Beta - [beta patch] - [descriptive title].

From a process perspective, I don't know which would be better. The private beta test has a clear and easy (once you get used to it ;)) process for bug reporting. Sorry to say, I am not familiar with prior public betas, so I don't know if there is any good history on the best process. I do know that (from bug fora...) that the best process will be that which will be easy to communicate issues to the rather busy developers. That means that the process should be tuned to those that will report to Paradox directly, since it cannot be assumed that Paradox will read any/all potential bug report posts.

That's what I thought you meant from the start. There will never be a beta bug thread, my feelings on the tediousness of keeping it up-to-date is something you don't want to know more about:)

What, you mean the 900 post long "1.0x" thread isn't 100% read and followed-up on? I'm... shocked! Shocked and awed! :D
