During the paeace treaty phase, I use to ask money from my enemy. Sometime even if they accept to pay, I don't get money. Maybe it a bug or the fact that they don't have enough money; in this case, the player should be allowed to know how much money the enemy can give.

A suggestion: why don't implement a second autosave file, switching with the first? This can help if the save game file corrupts.

This is a know "feature" of the game. The AI can accept peace for 250D with only 4D in the bank...Yep!, you only get the 4D!!.

There has been suggetions to make the AI takeout a loan or for the player to see/counter offer what they do have, but I have seen no firm take of this option.

The problem with the AI taking loans is , that you get a big cash flow. You attack a minor, conquer his provences, and ask for 1500 gold. That way, you can get 1500 gold every 5 years from every country.

Now you know why "AI taking loans" isn't implemented.

So,
In that case the AI should be forced to either make a counter-offer so at least you know what you're getting??.

Cheat: Save the game before you ask for money, see how much you get, load or play on.

It also helps to wait til the 1 jan to ask for money, that way the country has gotten his taxes in.
