I remember playing this mod before and receiving a notification whenever someone of my faith received the Saint trait, which makes sense. After all, a new saint would probably be the stuff of much talk.

But this time around I received none in the hundred years since starting over, and I've reacently stumbled upon at least 4 rulers who are sons of saints who died after the startdate.
I imagined I had something odd clicked off on the notifications list, but I can't find "when someone becomes a saint" in any of the lists (I supose it would fall into the religion one, right?).

So... can someone help me with that?

P.S.: sorry for my broken English. It's not my native language.

I may have added a range or culture check, but I'm not sure. I was probably annoyed by it. I'll check what's happening.

I checked the code and it looks fine. Not really sure what's happening... I'll have to test it.
Note that it will only be visible to same religion. E.g. Catholics won't see Orthodox saints.

What are the chances of becoming a saint? My great grandpa was a paragon and didn't get to be saint but my father became a saint almost right after the death. Is there hope for old Robert?

No, folks become saints almost immediately after death. It's basically game engine limitation, since it's fairly difficult to "target" dead people.

Ahh OK that's what I was wondering, if its a you either get it quick or you never do, or a simple mtth. Ty for a quick response

Thank you a lot for taking a look at it.

I've received notification that a member of my family would (soon) be canonized twice. Later on they received the "Saint" trait. But for any characters not in my direct family I still got no notification.
Could this be because the autocephalous religious leader of my lands is making the local branch of Chacedonian be treated as a separate religion from that of my vassals who follow other autocephalous priests/Rome?

Also, just to be sure, there is no pop up for the actual event in which my relatives became saints, just the notification that they will become saints in a future event, right?

Weird, I'm fairly certain there is an event, though it might be in future tense.

hm... I've got a single pop up per relative, about the cannonization as an event to happen soon, if I remember it correctly. I may have misremembered the wording (I'm not currently at home so I'm quoting from memory and I'm really sorry if I just mixed the tenses) but if there is suposed to be two pop ups each time, one saying the relative will soon be cannonized and another about the event itself, somehow my pc is not firing the second one.

There are two events.
First, sent to all dynasty members who have the same religion as the saint
Wonderful news! An envoy from [religion_head_title.Holder.GetTitledFirstNameNoRegnal] has informed all members of the [new_saint.GetOnlyDynastyName] dynasty that the late [new_saint.GetTitledFirstName] is to be formally declared a saint during a special ceremony in three months time. You have been invited to attend this solemn occasion.

Second is a major narrative event that's supposed to be visible to everyone of the saint's religion.
In an elaborate ceremony conducted by [religion_head_title.Holder.GetTitledName], the late [new_saint.GetTitledFirstNameNoRegnal] has been formally recognized for [new_saint.GetHerHis] generous nature and piety and declared a [new_saint.Religion.GetName] saint. The faithful line the streets, listening to the hymns sung in the cathedral, and rejoice when the declaration is finally made: the [new_saint.GetManWoman] once known as [new_saint.GetTitledFirstNameNoRegnal] will now and forever more be known as Saint [new_saint.GetFirstNameWithNick].

If I understand you correctly, the second one isn't showing?

You are correct. I supose whatever is stopping me from receiving notifications on the cannonization of non-relatives who share my faith is also blocking the second event about relatives from showing up.
The character still gets their Saint trait, but the second event doesn't show up, for some reason.

I have the same issue that Ed Mike found in version 4.07.7. The first event, "Wonderful news..." kicks off, but the second event promised in three months time never shows up. The dead character gets the saint trait but the "elaborate ceremony" event does not fire, even years after. I was also wondering if the dynasty members got any bonuses for a saint in the dynasty, I didn't see any opinion increases from bishops or anyone else. I thought something like +5 Church view on Saint might be appropriate.
