In the discription of the DLC it says that there will be Lehr-Pioniere and FW 190 A-8/R1 available. But where are they? I can remember that MadMat said that we should let surprise yourself about the Lehr-Pioniere. Is it a literal error or were they cancelled?

Fw 190A-8/R1 must be the 2. Panzer's Fw 190 A4/U4 ingame ... although I suck at planes and leave that part to more knowledgeable people than me here, so I can't be sure.

Because they are rifles, not SMG. You'll see that it is far better than other weapons in its category.
Also in 2nd Panzer a 20mm Flak is being towed by Gepard... this can’t be intentional...
The MP 43 - StG 44 is not a rifle...It's an assault rifle comparable to the AK-47 and was used as such.
The notion that the troops did not use the MP 44 on full auto as a standard tactic(suppressing fire etc) stems from it's early combat testing,initial combat use. Not due to a defect in the weapon but form a lack of magazines and an adequate way for the single man to carrying enough mags during an assault.
By '44 magazines were in adequate supply for the amount of weapons issued and a ammo harness to carry the mags was in use.

Happen to have access to a StG 44 (replica),it's a fine weapon to handle.
What he probly meant is the MP44 is working as a rifle in the game with a very high rate of fire and not like a 100m sub machine gun, which explains their low HE value and their efficiency all the same.
The MP44 is very, very good.
