Missions for Single Player?

Looking forward to hear more about this game.
So i understand this is multiplayer-oriented but has a singleplayer campaign mode.

Is this game about wiping out the enemy fleet ?
Or are missions like "Sneak your sub from Greenland to Archangelsk" possible as well?

Yes, for sure! Several of the missions are of the type that you mention.

Imagine having 1 vessel and having to take out a supercarrier.

It is widely documented how the Ula class 'Utvær' submarine took out the HMS invincible and singlehandedly prevented the invasion of Norway during the 2004 Joint Winter NATO exercise, so stuff like that is possible.

It probably should be remembered that this was training and not an actual war with the conditions that would come with it. I'm sure one Norwegian SSK wouldn't have been able to do this in wartime as ASW assets would be present, but it still was a fun result and must mean that they are quite good subs for coastal defence.

So yeah key point to take away is that in real life, any landing force would be supported by ASW assets unlike the British forces JW 04, but it was still a tactical triumph for the Commander on KNM Utvaer.
