Mixing Religons and Mods

Forgive me for asking but what exactly would I have to do to add the Mithraic religions to another mod such as HIP or just the vanilla game ?. I love Lux Invicta but it's not the only mod I play and I'd like to be able to use them in other mods to make personalised versions and have even more fun.

I know how to do some basic editing such as the religions bonuses for unit types etc and traits but not much else.

At the minimum, you would have to copy the mithra_group religion_group into your private mod's common/religions/ folder.

Would that carry over the icon and the description ?

No. For the description you'd need to find which file in localisation/ has the description (and the religion name localizations.) Getting the icon is a bit complex, as you'd need to copy over the icon strips from somewhere in the gfx/ folder, plus find and copy the appropriate definition for the icons from a .gfx file in the interface folder, and after that you'd have to check if any other religions' icons have been affected, and adjust their icons appropriately.
