I feel like this must have been mentioned before, but a mobile Paradox GSG would be amazing. The current market is lacking. You wouldn't have to push the hardware or anything, just ditch the graphics, I was picturing basically Crusader Kings, with II's mechanics, but on the phone. Hopefully, not dumbed down more than it has to be. Modern phone processing is pretty solid, I'd bet you could get it to run CK2 if you could shut off the whole "map" part taxing the display.

The thing with gsg’s isn’t that there not just something that you can whip out for 10 minutes they require time to hit a win condition like win a war or tech up or finish a plot

Not all mobile games are supposed to be played like that. A lot of them are, but fundamentally mobile phone is just a platform like any other, with the distinction of having a small screen size - just like any of the portable consoles. It's not the mobile phones' fault that 99% of the games are copypasted "EpIc fReE*** oNliNe StRatEgY RpG"-s, it's just their developers create them with a single thought in mind: "how do we grab as much cash as possible with as little effort as possible?". If someone like Paradox would try to create a mobile game (not buy a Chinese company which developed a shitty game with stolen Stellaris style, but actually planned and created a mobile game from scratch), it would have been great. I would definitely buy a grand strategy game I will be able to play on a long subway/train ride or just laying on my sofa. So far the only close thing to such a game is Age of Civilizations 2, which is, frankly, a mess.

Realpolitiks Mobile is a good (and actually the only one yet) grand strategy game that I play on my iPhone and iPad. It also demonstrates that developers don’t have to build such a game from ground up, they even don’t need to rework the user interface totally, but just do some adjustments and port it to mobile version.

I‘ve also tried Civilization Revolution but it was rather disappointing because the mobile version lacks features that the desktop version has,

The problem with mobile games is that they have to be very fast, and GSGs cannot be fast and still retain full features. Very few people will ever invest two hours looking at a phone screen. And if they somehow actually do that, they'll probably own a laptop or such, and play the full game on that instead.

Two things to consider -

A - Mobile games almost always devolve into crappy ad-ridden "freemiums", on top of being already very simplified, in order to attract the zombie horde that usually forms their playerbase. That horde doesn't touch anything other than casual games, but that's where most of the money is. Strategy gaming in general is out of that equation.

B - Even if a fully functional proper GSG gets released on mobile, it is always under the threat of being buried. I don't know about Apple, but Google Play Store is notorious for its famously bad quality control. One has to dig through mountains of trash heaps to find a good game or app. Unless the game has a strong marketing and somehow manages to get itself featured on the app list, it gets inevitably buried under an avalanche of crappy games for everyone except the niche list of people who already know about it from elsewhere.

GSG is already a side market. It would be even less profitable for a dev to put that much effort into creating a fully featured game, unless it is a labour of love like that free OpenTTD mobile port...and that is one of a kind thing. Most people who would be dedicated enough to find and buy such a thing, would likely also have a computer where they may or may not have already tried the main version of the game, because they aren't casual players.

And lastly, PDS are struggling to even keep their PC mainstream GSGs in shape these days (examples include Imperator, or EU4 in its current state, Stellaris a few months ago). I respectfully express a strong doubt that they are ready to step into mobile GSG market, create a separate large team dedicated to recreating games like EU, HoI and CK on mobile devices.

Yes, if they did make such a game there would be many people who would definitely buy them...but I doubt they need to make this, or they ever will. Even if they do, it won't be a full feature game people want.

For me the issue with mobile games are mostly the moral issues I have with how many of them handle Micro transactions and the first attempt paradox did was something I rather no see again forever. This however don't mean mobile games are automatically bad and that it would be unbelievable that in the future we have paradox grand strategy games on mobile but it have to be done in a way that don't feels morally wrong.
