Mod 34 : Revolutions!

here is a comprehensive guide.

1. double click the no time limit patch (comes with mod34 and will automatically run after you install the mod)

2. select the hearts of iron 2 .exe file in your mod 34 installation.

3. run it......

4. profit.....

actually it pretty much says this in the isntallation of mod 34. its pretty idiot proof actually.

you forgot alternate step #1, if you're using Vista, right click the NTL patch and click run as administrator.

the mod34 version is exactly the same. All thats changed is the AI has been updated to accomodate the new provinces.

I'm not too interested in a new map. I want the mod fixed up some more.

If there is a new version of the mod i would be interested, but i can't find anything on the mod34 site to indicate this.

Apparently he got all those info without paying.

And if they just changed the ai a bit, then its not enough to buy it right now imo. I found tech tree bugs and other stuff that should have better priority.

did it to and mine has not. spreading a virus via hoi2 mods is weak, i dont think that someone does.
 
Maybe I overreacted a little. But the one I had contained a virus(it was a different no time limit patch made by a different modding team). I successfully isolated and deleted the Trojan(never ran the exe to begin with)

Also, the no time limit patch by these modders doesn't seem to work. when I ran it it breaks the exe file for HOI2 ARMA. Is something wrong? Can someone tell me if I'm just using it wrong?

The false Virus alert results, because your Virus Scanner detected that the NTL-Patch modifies the .exe and the only Programs which modifies an .exe-File is either a Virus or a Trojan...

First make a backup. Then start the NTL-Patch from the Game directory. Select the game .exe and run the Patch. you should get a window where you will be told which version of the Game the .exe is and if it is detected successfully, the patch will be applied.

What kind of Error do you get? any screenshots?
 
took your advice and made a backup as well as installed the no time limit patch and what do you know, the patch works! installed mod34 too and its running like clockwork in the year 1934!! :rolleyes:

question though: Im using 1.3 of HOI2 ARMA. Is that why I;m seeing those unknown string errors? should i reinstall arma and not install the 1.3 patch? suggestions?

maybe i was using and older version of the NTL before? version i used was dated 2006 and said it only worked for DD. if that is an older version...

I read through some threads on quintelosky's forum (its in spanish so google translate if you don't speak it) and its quite clear that the only update that has been done is for the ai to be able to use the extra provinces from the modforenjoy map mod.

I would like aclararte that there are actually two versions of Mod34: one that does not change the map, and free, and another that modifies the map, and that, as I have said, you must be subscribed to the page of MFE to download. The only difference between them is the map, so the tech tree remains the same and is all in Spanish (in fact, is done in Spanish and then translated to English).

I'm not interested in the map mod so am not going to pay the $2.50 or whatever for it. If mod34 releases a new version of mod34 that is only dowloadable through modforenjoy, i will pay and upload to a share site for all to download.
