The problem was caused by IA when it checks some events, I don't know exactly which and I can't ask to Quintelosky (he is on holidays).
We know that problem and in some cases slowdown is lower if you reinstall all again. Sometimes if you install Mod34 in a vanilla installation where you were playing for a long time a higher slowdown can happen.
Do you have the last version? Because we tried to solve (a bit) that problem on v0.20.

Ok. I have the 0.20 version installed, reinstalled DD, Arma and mod34 today , and still it's the same problem...:(

OK I found a team which will finish the list. It is the second largest organisation in Poland of that time - Liga Morska i Kolonialna (League of Sea and Colonies ) it was acting for colonisation in Africa, Southern America and other regions. It was directly responsible for collecting money buying one submarine and gathering funds for other sea projects - some successfull, some not.

Here are two pictures to chose from - postcards they were selling.

Final note - it was a MASSIVE organisation - in 1939 it had 960 000 members. :eek:

Should be available from 1939 (was much older, but to me it makes no sense to add them too early - would distract the AI and in general it was less important untill later 30s came)...

SKILL 2 seems reasonable, but in 5 areas.

Naval engineering

technical efficiency

electronics

naval artillery

+ carrier tactics

Its use would be dealing with capital ships and few ocean warfare doctrines.

Its mainly for fun anyway - if Poland survives long enough to use it why not especially looking at its massive size and possibilities for future expansion IF something happens to Germany and/or Soviet Union. ;)


Another note - since Ulam is gone quite early and Józef Kosacki was working a lot of nuclear technologies in the later part of his life I belive you can give him two nuclear skills with decrease of his overall skill to 3 - he appears very late anyway so that is quite reasonable.

This way the techteams are finally finished which allows playing without techteam takeover at all. :cool:
 
I tried to install your mod but some files in the installer seem to be corrupt, or at least that's what the error message says:
CRC failed in Doomsday\GFX\events_pics\anchsluss.bmp Unexpected end of archive

I have a fresh installation of DD 1.3a and gave a try to both links. Should I download the zipped version to get around this problem?

EDIT: my mistake, the error is for the GIP package, so you're not responsible in any way :eek:o

Are you sure you didn't mix with another mod or used the editor?
 
I've been playing this mod for a few hours now and I can already state for a certainty that it's a first rate mod! The research concept is absolutely brilliant and will make you weigh all your decisions (the only drawback is that the tech tree is a maze :D ). The game is much less linear as a result.
The events are a great addition too, and it may thwart many of your plans (sudden explosion of your dissent, for example).
And for those who prefer sprites to counters, then you have a nice package too. Very well designed.

In short, a must play!

Are you sure you marked the Armageddon option when you installed the mod? It works fine for me with DD:A 1.1, except for some known slowdown issue due to the AI checking events at midnights.
 
Just got the mod earlier this this week and I must say I am impressed with it.
In my first game the King Alexander events caused WW2 to start in 1935. Romania annexed Austria and Hungary. Italy annexed Egypt, but had lost most of it's European area to France. They were almost to Rome at one point. Then Belgian and Polish forces took Germany out. So much for the Axis. This was all very nice all right, but since I was playing as USA things wouldn't have have been all that exciting with the Germans gone, so I haven't played that game very much since.

I started another USA game and this time Hungary was found not guilty so no early war this time. I'll play this game further out although I have made mistakes with the new tech tree which is very nice by the way. It'll just take some getting used to and learning to understand how everything works with it.

BTW, the mod has nice graphics also.
 
I'm new to this mod, so naturally I don't know much about the whole new tech tree. But when I research certain techs, such as Basic SMG, it won't let me research Improved SMG. It says I have not researched the prerequisites, even though the only one is Basic SMG, which I have researched.

What's up with that? :confused:

You have to check the prerequisite arrows very carfully; many techs also demands that you have researched some specific tech in another screen of the tech-tree. Improved SMG has some tech in the industry tree as prerequisite, I'm quite sure.

I want to create a quick string of events which will allow Poland, Netherlands and France to partition Germany.

I tried this but my game crashed when I loaded the game. Did I miss something. The basics are that Poland creates the DDR and the Allies create the FRG. The Soviets sieze the Baltics and protest the creation of the new states.

Whats the flag in the beginning for?
Maybe you are using some unsupported triggers or globals.
 
I'm having trouble where whenever I start a 1934 game, it starts in October then just skips to January 1st, 1935 as soon as I time starts. Any idea what I should do?
