maybe my explanation was not clear.
Here's what is written in the buildtime.txt now in AHOI:

So you can see that it takes you only a quarter of the time to build 1 IC (In game terms) but you also only get a quarter of a "real" IC out!
F.e., if you usually build 30 IC's with Germany from the game start in a build series of 10x3 IC, you get the first IC's done in early December of 1936. A total of 10 usable IC's.
If you want to build 30 usable IC's in AHOI in the same time you have to set up a series of 10x12 IC.
And now you get the first USABLE IC's after 3 month, the next after 6 and so on.
If you just build one IC in AHOI you won't have a usabel IC after 3 month because you just have build a quarter of one IC.
But If you build 4 (AHOI-)IC's you have at least 1 usabel IC after 3 month.
So after all, the only benefit is, that you can use some(!) of your newly build IC's earlier.
And this "bonus" works for all nations.
If you want to "exploit" this:
F.e. Germany uses all free IC to build IC("AHOI-IC")
Lets say they use 100 ICfrom the very beginning in 1936.
So the can produce 20 new IC's at a time (100/5=20).
After 3 month the first 20 AHOI-IC's are ready and therfore 5 new real usable IC's (20/4=5) can be used to produce another IC.
And after 6 month they have build 41 AHOI-IC's and that makes for 10,25 real usable IC's that we use for building more IC's.
After 9 month they have 62 AHOI-IC's build that makes up for 15,5 real IC.
And after 12 month it sums up to 83 AHOI-IC's and 20,75 real new usable IC's build.
And so on.
The "gain" is not so big, isn't it?
BUT you are more felxible in your building. So you don't have to wait a whole year for a IC to be build if you want to produce something other. You can "quit" after 3 month and build again later on.
I hope the system behind is now clear to understand.
