IIRC it is argent, or, gules, azure, sable and vert. In general metals can't border colours, but as usual there are exceptions like the coat of arms of the kingdom of Jerusalem.

Edit: Thure is right ;)

the squirrels are delighted, you deserve a hazlenut for that:p

You mod works with my mod just fine, but I'm trying to work out whether or not this is even a problem. I just think it is sorta ugly.

purps.jpg

Certain random CoAs look like this, and always like this. Considering that the pictured CoAs are all random, I don't know why they look like this every time I load up a new CK2 game. I even deleted the cache in "my documents."

Are those colors, together, natural for this setting?

unless you only have these 2 colors (unfixed known bug for Steam version) used it is WAD.
I admit that there is still some color combinations more or less nice depending on the patterns. this one can cause problem with colorblind persons. I'll see if I need to do change a bit colours' frequencies and combinations.

as a fix, you can disable these 2 colors from the coats_of_arms.txt or just forbid their combination in the exclusion block of the same file.

It may be that Steam bug you mentioned. Because when I load CK2Plus, most all the randoms have the same dark-red/black/white scheme.

I tried the forbid combination thing, but it just made it so that they were all a different gaudy color set. Something to be lived with, I guess.

the best you can is choosing the (3) colours available for the bug to use but it will lack a bit of variety^^

In your french forum you wrote that to combine this with CK2+, one should copy the content over the ck2+ folder. Is this still applicable with the newer versions of CK2+?
Thanks!

mmm didn't remember I wrote that lol !
I don't follow much the developpment of CK2+ so I can't tell exactly but I think it should still work.

Hm. If I use it (either seperately or with CK2+), I have the problem that all the random dynasties are purple-green. But I don't have this problem without your mod? I bought my version on gamersgate, not Steam.

well the purple-green problem seems to not be Steam specific then^^

Oh well... Any idea what I could do about it? I applied the latest patch.

EDIT: But I understood that the purple-green problem was a problem of the vanilla game, though I only have the problem while using your mod?

Well, some only have the problem without mod(s) :p I really don't know whats causes it (apart the 2 latest patches^^)
Nothing we can do apart... waiting next patch and praying it will solve the bug^^

i made for personal use a dadapted version of this mod for using along ck2+. for correct working you should use a changed 00_dynasties.text, which i attached. its necessary because of changed cultures for some dynasties in ck2+. the attached file is a mix from both mods - some names (esp. french, greek) are from Arko-mod, some names and cultures are from ck2+ (esp. muslim ´cause of the new personalized ermirate-names from the last patch).

make a new copy of the Arko-mod and copy that file into the .../mod/ArmoiriesArkoPack/common/dynasties - folder by overwriting the original file and choose this mod in addition to the other ck2+ components. it works along ck2+ 1.26.5 - i swear. ;)

edit2: now the version is from the 3rd august update of arko-mod.

What are the changed cultures in CK2+ ? additional ones or not ? if not I can integrate it directly in my mod for better compatibility.

just checked with CK2+ version : only one culture tag is changed from "mande" to "manden" I dunno why this weird change but it is the only difference that can make (an almost un-noticeable incompatibility).

I put back the names from pre-1.06 version to avoid the problem of dynastic names impossible to localize. so adding names that needs localisation was stupid IMHO.
