I've never actually added anything new before.... I *think* all I have to do is add the JSONs and add stuff to shops, but I've never tried it.

I'm actually leaving tomorrow for a combo work trip / vacation so I may not be updating anything for the next week+

I'll take a stab at it and add it to the 3C mod until you get back. :D

Hey what do you think about The UAC5 at 70 damage? 2 shots of 35 each. Same damage as the LB10X... but not guaranteed in the same location.

Also double the heat of the LB10X..but 2 tons less.

LB10X is overall more efficient with these values.

On sarna the ranges are different for Ultras and LBs.. but I think I'm going to leave them the same for now as the stock AC/5 and AC/10

Good starting place! Make sure these are priced around what a ERPPC is. The SRMs can be priced around the same cost as the Pulse and ER Med lasers.

I haven't tried this (not sure if it will work)... but this zip has the LB 10-X, UAC5 and Streak SRM 2. You'll need to add them (and their ammo) to the shops files (shop files included for regular lostech... didn't get a chance to add the new stuff).

Changelog for version 2.2:

ACE Pilot now makes the following number of pips permanent based on weight class 5/4/3/3 - Light/Medium/Heavy/Assault

ERML: -5 heat
ERLL: -3 heat

Lostech weapons now have a small chance to appear in shops where there is a black market or former star league presence



@don Zappo I've changed my own weapon files to make lostech available... if you want to drop the other lostech mod we can keep all the weapon changes in one spot (just thinking that's easier).
These changes are fantastic. :)
 
Btw, if you are including inferno weapons, I suggest replacing a + weapon with them. Very cool idea.

How many of these weapons are time period appropriate?
 
Are you dropping any updates today? I was going to update my Mod Pack at some point, but I can definitely wait until your changes are in if you are tweaking something.
 
I think he's on Vacation for this week. I'm currently working on getting the new LosTech stuff deployed for testing in my own game.
Oh, right. I recall that now. At least he left us in a very nice working state with his Balance Overhaul.
 
I think you forgot to update the rarity of double heat sinks and gauss ammo back. They are set to 0, and 10, respectively. I updated those to 20 to import into my mod pack
 
I now have my first Ace Pilot. Decker running around in a Jenner. I think 5 permanent evasion may be too much. It is insane! Granted, I am doing 2.5 skull and less missions right now, but that -55% permament to-hit lets his win matches all by himself.

Good feedback! Maybe 4/4/3/3 (or back to 3/3/3/3) is the answer.

Disclaimer - I have NOT used lights since I changed it to 5/4/3/3... only mediums and heavier

On the plus side, those pulse weapons devastate aces!

Also, I'm not sure if running a Jenner in a 5 skull mission is a fair metric to use. It seems that if you are dropping 5 skulls you can reasonably argue that you should bring the fat. :)
