I appear to be having issues with 2.8.1 in relation to achievements.

The Checksum is 'WTTG' but when loading up changes to 'HUHB' even with 'BLG / CC with Ironman Achievements' active.

I have tried disabling all mods and running them one by one and it appears to only effect BLG. I may be doing something wrong but I thought I'd just give a heads up.

I'm following the instructions on the note for enable achievments at the start of the game. Anyone could tell me if I have mistake something?
In the order:

1) Download the mod
2) Extract the entire contets in the mod directory (the Document one)
3) Extract the blgccironman folder and the blgccironman.mod file in the mod folder
4) Execute betterlookinggarbsinstall.exe
5) Execute the launcher and tick: Better Looking Garbs and BLG/CC with ironman achievments
6) Setup the game (Age, Monarch etc.....)
7) Enable ironman on the top of the screen but it says: achievments disabled

Please anyone helps :(

EDIT:
Forget all I wrote i miss the post above : thank you Nendur you're a genius indeed!!!!

You can't get achievements using the Ruler Designer, assuming that line implies you did.

...or maybe your Game Rules were not set up appropriately.
Just saying in case.

The AGOT version seems not to work for some ethnicites and cultures. The Northmen and Dornish especially have problems with their clothing, while the Valemen are all bald and naked, and the game crashes if I try to pick a Valeman ethnicity in the RD. Really like the mod though.

The 1.6 update is in the works, I'm preparing to move so free time has taken a cut.

Mod Download

Installation:
  1. Extract the downloaded mod or subscribe to the workshop version.
  2. If using the workshop version, open Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II/mod/betterlookinggarbs.zip and extract betterlookinggarbsinstall.exe (Windows) or betterlookinggarbsinstall.sh (Linux/Mac)
  3. Run betterlookinggarbsinstall.exe (Windows) or "bash betterlookinggarbsinstall.sh" (Linux/Mac). The installer will selectively add DLC dependent files and compatibility addons to the mod based on your installation.
  4. If you use overhaul mods or want to customize BLG, you can find the bundled add-on submods. The addons are packaged inside either betterlookinggarbs.zip or the betterlookinggarbsaddons directory. Extract the pair of a .mod file and directory to use it.

How do I uninstall BLG and install the Ironman-safe version?

The ironman version is an add-on submod that depends on the main mod and reverts some of the files.
Move the ironman .mod file and directory from betterlookinggarbsaddons to the general mod directory to make them available.

Hey, Nendur! Are you going to replace The Iberian clothes for Visigotic and Suebian culture with more authentic Early Frankish or Langobard ones.
And why The Magyars have to use turkish faces? They were more caucasoid in appearence than sorrounding Turkic tribes.

Hey, is there anyway to change the portraits that some of the cultures use ingame to something else? I'd like to change the Celtic/Irish and Norse portraits to something else.

Thanks

The early Frankish clothes have a large spread already, I don't like making things too uniform.
There is no good other in-between set for Magyars either.

Depending in what you want to do, common/cultures has the setting of portrait sets to cultures, the portraits_*.gfx files in interface/ and interface/portraits/ are editable text files with all the different layers in them.

I know that you wrote in the OP that you preferred that mods used this as a submod alongside, and not a direct integration, but I tried that just now with the Faerun mod and there seems to be some conflict that causes the portraits to turn into the grey brick wall.

Would you be OK with us trying to integrate it? Huge fan of this, and it really fits the late-middle-age Forgotten Realms setting much better than the vanilla portraits!

Yes, that's fine, a different setting world is expected to require more extensive changes.
