Hi,

It was on hold for a while, but I've been working on the mod last week.

I'm currently making generic portraits for the different Spanish civil war factions.

What is done so far is:
  • reorganizing the generic portrait scripting by tags and cosmetic tags, in a way that is going to be easy to update in the future
  • analyzing every cosmetic tag of the Spanish faction in Vanilla (like I discovered that SPR_anarchist_spain is also used by the Communist branch if the Republican side splits)
  • 10 Carlist general portraits / 10
  • 5 Francoist general portraits / 8
  • 5 Falangist general portraits / 10
  • 3 Nationalist admiral / 5
  • 1 Anarchist /10
  • 6 Communists / 10
  • 0 default Republican / 10
  • 1 Republican admiral / 5
Now that I have identified the needs, I might go a bit faster (*), but I can't really say when the next release will be ready. (*) Especially since some "models" will be shared between some generic portraits (like keeping the same face and changing a uniform to make a communist generic into an anarchist generic).

I didn't expect it to take so long.

What took me time was also that I have built a pool of "generic" generics, ie about 30 extra European generics with neutral uniforms (more than doubling the original 19 in Vanilla) so that I can pick 5, 7 or 10 models (depending on the importance of the tag) to which I can give specific uniforms, like I did recently with Belgium in May. Hopefully, I'll get efficient at changing uniforms colors, adding insignas or medal, to customize the uniforms.

There are 4 tags;

SPR: actually a regular tag. It has no cosmetic tag before the start of the civil war.
D01, D02, D03: 3 dynamic tags, initially SPA (Nationalists), SPB (Carlists), SPC (Anarchists), though they are dormant in 1936 and are only activated by some events

And many more cosmetic tags:

SPR_republican_spain: given to the Republican side at the beginning of the civil war and kept by the democrats at the republican split. Shared by the 3 Republican branches. The Democrat branch keeps it forever
SPR_nationalist_spain: given to the Nationalist side at the beginning of the civil war and kept by the fascists (unless they already became the Directory) at the nationalist spli. Shared by the 3 Nationalist branches. The Franco branch keeps it forever
SPA_directory: Early in the Falange branch
SPA_spanish_empire: Later in the Falange branch
SPR_anarchist_spain: can be either the Anarchists or the Communists when they fight the regular Republicans (who keep the tag SPR_republican_spain). The Communist branch keeps it unless if forms an union with communist Portugal
SPR_carlist_spain: given to the Carlists in the case of a nationalist split. Kept until the monarchy is restored by focus.
SPC_regional_defense_council_of_iberia/SPC_global_dense_council: post war civil war of the Anarchist branch
SPC_poum: given to the communist at the end of a focus, which instantly fires an event which makes them SPR_anarchist_spain (so virtually unused)
SPB_kingdom: given by completing a post civil war focus by the Carlists
Thank you for the reply, looks like a lot of progress, though I was under the impression this thread was about the CK3 mod ‘Community Flavour Pack’. What you describe sounds like a HoI4 mod; Am I in the wrong place?

Nah, you are good, he is mistaken.

On another note, I've been wondering the same about the mod.

CirclePete, I think you are responding to the wrong thread/forum.
This is about the Community Flavor Pack mod for Crusader Kings III.

Also:

¡A las barricadas!
Went for a nap minutes after that post... which lasted 4 hours!
I guess that wanting to watch NFL when living in Europe has consequences!
I will refrain from posting when lacking sleep next time!

Regarding CFP there is no immediate plans for more content. 3D is now 75% of my profesionnal activity and I'm still the only 3D artist in the mod team, which doesn't leave a lot of room for any significant roadmap. I'd say the mod is not dead but it's like hibernating! Of course I'm still here to update the mod after each CK3 update, so see you on september 24th.

Hello, when manually downloading the mod on PDX mods the descriptor.mod doesn't seem to work right. Do I just take that and move it or what do I do? It's not working via just subscribing to it on PDX and I don't have the game through Steam. I'm manually doing things.

While likely not getting that much more content is always sad, the community flavor mods already adds so much and i´m very grateful for this.

For me it´s the only mandatory mod i absolutely need for vanilla ck3.
