I have an idea for small mod: make minor (i.e. not land-holding or court officials) titles customized for every culture. Or actually, kingdom and empire - like it's available for Byzantium in vanilla.

This is an actual proposal: make a set of alternate titles for vanilla set, in local language (e.g. Koniuszy = Polish Master of Horse), and may be add some more - according to real history - but without any opinion change & salary, and only a minimal dignity level (just for fun, and historical reality purpose).

I managed to find a way how to do is, but unfortunately it's a little too work for me (see below). But if someone is willing to do hard work, we could start a discussion here - and conclude a list of titles for every realm.

I would leave Court Jester on (without translation), as specific "negative" title.

Based on example of Poland:
1) in common/minor_titles you have to:
a) add to any vanilla title NOT = { has_landed_title = k_poland
b) copy any vanilla title name it; add has_landed_title = k_poland there; add according NOT = { has_minor_title sections
c) repeat for every realm and title..
2) add localisation lines in localisation/text1 (e.g. title_koniuszy;Koniuszy;Koniuszy;Koniuszy;;Koniuszy;;;;;;;;;x;;;;;;;;;;;;;)

Here is my proposal for Kingdom of Poland:
Keeper of Swans = Miecznik
Master of the Horse = Koniuszy
Master of the Hunt = Lowczy
High Almoner = Podkomorzy
Cupbearer = Podczaszy
Seneschal = Chorazy wielki
"free" titles: Stolnik, Krajczy, Wojski, Podskarbi, Podkanclerzy, Podstoli, Kuchmistrz

What do you think?

I think this is an awesome idea.

I'm still a beginner, so I don't know that I'd trust myself to help even with grunt work, but once I get a little more experienced, if no one has helped you, I'd love to throw in with this. This is an awesome way to add a lot of flavor and depth to the game without drastically changing the systems or rules just yet. :)
