Further, stealth archetype characters will also have a great ability to simply have the scary wizard lord removed by a pile of dung...
I smell MP ragequits, aww yisss.... :D

What about the Underdark, is it included ?

Tried to find it in the screenshots, but they are a bit too small to read all the province names.

Considering the size of the Underdark and the absence of anything resembling underground territory, I'd assume it isn't (yet).

Which one is that?

Lord Nasher should be king-tier. Not necessarily Neverwinter itself, just Nasher.

Never actually played tabletop Forgotten Realms, just loved the Bioware/Black Isle/Obsidian games. Looking forward to this one.

I'm a huge drow and underdark fan, so there is definitely talk of an Underdark, and I believe Shadeos is coming around to the idea as well :) May not be for 0.1 release, but I hope we'll get it in. So far the plan is to make a series of tunnels/caverns under the northern ice sheets to represent it, but this may change.

And speaking of drow, check out what NeutronDecay has done with them! They're reskinned/new hair colour versions of Silfae's Druchi from the Warhammer mod.

Is there a gameplay reason for him being King Tier? Generally our kingdoms are quite large, and Neverwinter (the Duchy) is only about 4-5 provinces. We could give him a titular title of course, but I'd need some kind of gameplay reason to do so :p

Nah, was mainly joking because I like the character in the NWN games. From a gameplay perspective duchy rank for the small city states works just fine.

Could I make a small, minor suggestion for those portraits?

Duplicate the layers and set them to multiply, maybe fiddle with brightness/contrast and opacity of the layer. It's a very simple method of adding a little more...depth, it'll darken them hence the adjustments to brightness/contrast and opacity but it may just improve the look, just a tad. Right now due to the colouration they look kind of flat, details are lost, this will (or should) pick up the detailing a little more.

Yeah, I'm still tweaking those aspects, especially with regard to the hair - I didn't figure out the use of RGB codes in the gfx file to modify hair colour until late in the process. That said, I'm quite pleased with them as my first set of fully recoloured portraits. If I can refine my skills, I'm hoping to add duergar, derro, gold dwarves, and all four kinds of genasi. (There's at least one genesis title holder who will need to be given a portrait in due course.)

Will dark elf society be represented by warring houses? . With no set leader per say. Also will they have access to spider queen religion and society ruled by females and priestess. Which is important for there society. Although thag could of been a under dark thing I'm not sure. But still I'm a dark elf DnD fan and I can't wait to play as them.

Looking forward to seeing were this mod leads !

As for dark elves, originally I wanted to have a 25-province Menzoberranzan with all the 8 ruling houses, the districts, the academies, etc. But that's kind of not doable in a map on this scale; Menzoberranzan would be disproportionately powerful and there is no justification for making it so huge compared to, say, Waterdeep. It's very possible that we can use some other mechanics to simulate the drow houses, however, such as perhaps mercenary companies, though I haven't really given it much thought and likely won't until we get an underdark.

Drow religions are in, however, and so will female rule by priestesses of Lolth.
