Just a few words concerning the upcoming version of CK3, available tomorrow.

I foresee Dark Ages to be a challenge to compatch with tomorrow's update. Unfortunately I will not be in Lisbon by the last half of next week and out of sight of my laptop, which means I will have until Wednesday morning to be able to make everything work between Dark Ages and the new patch. I'll try my best but cannot promise anything. In this light, there is a possibility that Dark Ages will remain incompatible with latest version of CK3 - presumably 1.16 - until around the second week of May.

Happy gaming and watch out for the Mongols!

Hi Cardolam! Any plans on nerfing tributes? At the moment, collecting 50% tax kind of makes feudal contracts a joke. And they barely break away.

I am nerfing herd growth at this time. But I am certainly very willling to address tributes after this.

EDIT: Done, together with other sorely needed nerfs for Nomads.

- Finished coding an event pool for landless adventurers
- The Second of a landless character now gives bonuses to the player skills between 1 and 3 points, based on aptitude
- For Nomads, reduced the bonuses given by artifacts related with Fertility and Herd growth
- For Nomads, Herd will decrease in the different Zuds plus Severe Droughts
- Reduced Tributary Taxes
- Reduced bonus for Nomads of MaA maintenance
- Reduced agressiveness of AI Nomads
- Increased value of war cooldown period for Nomads
- Fixed raiding outcomes for nomads (were giving much bigger values of herd than reported)
- Risk of murder events for Nomads with High dread is reduced to 20% of normal setting
- Fixed culture change costs to be more in line with previous versions of Dark Ages (!)
- Addressed the unbalanced numbers of herd through two events that might happen to Nomads (%)
- Coded a game rule to opt out of the herd control events
- Fixed a wrong set of bonuses for a generated character type
- @TheLoneWanderer was a really helping hand this week with all the changes and tweaks. A Big THANK YOU!
- Updated all language files (*)

(!) - 1.16 calculates culture change costs very differently from previous versions of the game
(%) - One of them *significantly* reduces herd size. The other is more lenient on its effects

If you are reading this and playing the Mongols, I very much want feedback on balance changes done, namely on herd modifiers during Zud or Severe Droughts, as well as the plague event afecting the herd.

Hi, I have been playing the Khirgiz in 1066, the herd modifiers seem too harsh. Starting with severe drought followed by Zud means I can barely mitigate the fall in numbers and most rulers around me are without a single point of herd after 10 years.

Ive been playing and noticed a bug. As a nomad, you get spammed by the revoke harsh rule event. I think this is related to nomad camps being county titles. I'm not sure what triggers the spam (war? Raised armies?).

Thank you for the report. Certainly it is not intended behaviour.

"Policy Decisions" (there is no event called "Revoke Harsh Rule", just a decision) should fire if your character didn't order the Harsh Rule decision himself and there is at least one province of his Domain that has the Harsh Rule modifier.

Looking at the code I don't see anything suspect but please, provide me more context about your game.
