Typically it happens when the Community Asset Bundle folder isn't there, I should just make that an optional depends on for load order, but I originally had it as "Depends On" because the mod wouldn't work without the Archer.

Hi all,
I have finally capitulated and started running some mods, not because I'm against mods I just wanted to wait until the base game had settled down and I didn't have to keep re-installing the mods every other day. Great work from what I have seen so far.

However I am having problems loading this particular FP mod. ModTek just gives me the error that it wouldn't load. I am running Bt Extended which seems to be loading fine and have the BD Archer mod which is populating enemy lances so that seems to be working too. I've tried loading/unloading various mods (store tag enabler, which also didn't load). Would any of these have caused a conflict with the "Give them Kell" mod?

Also how do I tell if the Community Asset bundle is loading properly?

I am also quite capable of editing JSON's if needed as I often change starting lances and visual/sensor ranges. I am at work right now so i don't have the exact list of mods loaded into Modtek.

PS I have the performance fix mod loaded too, can't really tell if it's working but not giving any obvious errors
 
If you can post the ModTek log file (found in Mods/.modtek/) that would help me to troubleshoot the issue. You can tell in that file what is/isn't loading ;)

Careful dipping your toe in the mod pool - next thing you know, we'll be seeing a Capt_Slide_Mod ;)

I re-enabled "Give them Kell" so the log file would generate an error, which it did.

Yes, the mod has a Dependancy of Community Asset Bundle, however, it also works with the Archer mod.

If you go into the mod.json in the Kell mod folder and just delete the "CommunityAssetBundle" (delete the quotes too), then restart, it will load. And since you have the Archer mod, it will work. Though it may have a load order issue - but it should sort itself out since they are alphabetical in nature

Just quick question if you don't mind. I seem to have lost the colour (red/orange) on my sensor blips since I started loading/unloading mods, the blips are now clear with a tag, can still sensor lock them as the shape is there but real hard to spot. Any ideas what that is about and how to fix it?

That is due to the BattletechPerformanceFix mod - and is the fix that allows the older version Asset Bundles (the new 'Mech/Vee models people have added) to still work in a post 1.6 environment.

The Moddlers have been working very hard to get their models updated and some (like @Colobos) are jumping in to help update other moddler's work as well.

There are still some 25-30 models left to update, out of over 175.

Once those are all up to date to the new style, then the 'fix' for the old models can be removed from the BTPerfFix mod and the blips should reappear.

Correct - though you will then get other errors if those 'Mechs appear.
 
FWIW the "Give them Kell" edit worked a charm, I even had the FP come up last night and played it no problem.

I a not running any other vehicles/mechs ATM so I might disable it until everyone catches up, Not seeing any particular improvement anyway, but that probably has more to do with the old HDD I am using for data than any other reason.

So - at @Marauder3D 's prompting - I am working on another Flashpoint minor edit, this time to address Col. Carlyle's ride...

(Kudos to @shimmeringSword for the inspiration for the GDL MAD-3R's paint scheme - I even added the 24 to the leg, though it is cut off - and kudos to @legendkiller for the GDL icons)

You will need the Community Asset Bundle to use this mod (CAB Single Folder, CAB 3025 Single Folder or CAB Full Installer)

My beta version is attached - it just replaces Col. Grayson Carlyle's Black Knight with a proper Marauder and McCall's Jagermech with a proper Rifleman. A pilot file is also added for Gray Death to give him a slight boost (not much, just a nudge).

Updated - this version adds pilots for all 4 lance members and inserts them into the contract.

Just realized I forgot to include the MoveDefs! This went unnoticed by me, as they are already in the JK_VariantsCAB folder .
