Hello everyone, I would like to introduce myself first. I have played cities skylines for a while now spending hours and hours on dealing with traffic issues, interchange design and so on. Decorations play an important role for me so it has always bothered me that the highways look so "bare".

I have therefore come up with the idea of a draggable median that can be built like any other other road while the actual highways are built next to it.
I have some experience with Blender etc. but the programming part is plain horror for a novice like me. I have tried some reverse engineering with existing mods but.... :/
Now what I would like to do:
Clone an existing road (the smaller the better), deactivate the lanes, replace the mesh and allow street lights to appear in the center of it.
Now do you think this would ne a good idea? If so how to approach this?

Heyas, thanks for your opinion. I have modeled around a little and as a proof of concept created this montage. This is about what I would like to have in the game. Also my custom highway lights would look great here.

This is the mesh I would like to use for the median. Others such as guard rail might look great as well.

Again this is all just concept and modelling so far. Trying to get along with the coding stuff is a real pain though. Without help I'm afraid this is not going to become real. :/
