The Nasamones bring back memories of playing as them in EU Rome. I remember it was quite a pain to survive as them. I think it was with the Epigonoi mod that they were added (not in vanilla) but I can't remember anymore.

Where exactly in the discord is the option to apply for tester?
Type your application in the Recruitment chat, keep in mind, testers should be decent at the game and good at finding bugs. Most important thing a tester does is log every bug they find and provide us as extensive feedback as possible.

So I'm new to this. What exactly does this do for countries, characters, and the timeline?

In short, timeline was extended by 27 years and ends at the end of 1 BCE. Many countries have gotten missions or custom heritages.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but I'll say it anyways

I think there NEEDS to be more options and treaties when suing for peace, like in EU4. There needs to be more reasons for war than to just blob. To get an idea of how important treaties were take a look through this article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaties_between_Rome_and_Carthage

It would both improve gameplay and historical accuracy. It's a win win.

Sadly most of the stuff is hardcoded, i.e. not moddable.

I think the biggest lack of Imperator is character RP. Adding interactive events with actual characters would make a huge difference, but ultimately I think this also can t really be addressed by the current ticks per turn, making character lifespans around 20 minutes or so.

Would it be possible to change how many ticks per day are there? Maybe doubling them would make a huge difference in character interaction and RP.

If they have indeed decided to pull out the plug in IR then that would be the least they could do...
Actually, if they believe the game is dead, then it is only win win because modders might revive the game and they can both pick up development again later and get more sales.

If they believe it hangs in a thin thread and they need to see some sign of life, then also they will benefit from opening the game.. if modders can, like invictus, get free creative space to handle Imperator it can only be again a win win.

People might trickle back after some time and YouTubes will surely feast on great changes.
Just look at Total War and how some modders against the odds managed to create Divide et Impera and 1212ad, massively expanding both fanbase and lifeline of those two games.

I believe Imperator will thrive!

Character RP is *not* the biggest missing feature, there are many more that I feel are more important. However you are right, more character interaction would be good, and we have added/are adding some. Also, the 20 min lifespan of a char directly correlates with your speed.
The ticks most probably are harcoded.
