i have just downloaded Lux Invicta; it seems like an amazing mod & I'm really excited to play it. However, when I load the game, it's just vanilla. I'm using no mods besides Lux Invicta 0.6K5 & I'm on version 2.3.6. Even though the mod isn't working, when I open the game it says it's enabled.

0.6K5 (from Github) is for 2.4.4. 2.3.6, you need to grab 0.6K4 (from the unofficial release thread).

You also need to set the path line in the Lux Invicta .mod file (which is not a movie file, whatever Windows in its misguided wisdom believes, but a text file) to point to the folder where the mod resides.

Open the .mod file with any text editor (Notepad will do in a pinch, Notepad++, a free download, is preferred.) Find the line starting path = mod/<whatever>. Make sure the part after mod/ is the name of the folder where Lux Invicta is living. Save file (make sure Windows still thinks it's a movie file; if it thinks it's a text file, you need to go to your View options in Windows Explorer and enable viewing file types, so you can delete the .txt that Notepad wrongheadedly added.) Done.

Look in your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II/mod folder. That is where all your .mod files, and mod folders (or your mod .zips if you have Steam subscriptions), should be living.

Or change the name of the folder to Lux Invicta. Either works, they just have to match.
Also remember to opt out of the 2.3.6 beta.

No, but some religions may not have it.

Ahh ok. Currently I'm playing as Baktria, trying to restore Alexander's Empire.

Edit: How well does this work with the converter? I would love to see my empire expand from Greece to Vietnam, with some colonies in the New World & Australia.

It bothers me that there is no text file in the zip with clear installation instructions, and that the folder is not just named "Lux Invicta"
I mean, I can live with it, but why wouldn't you do those two little things that are just really necessary for a lot of people?

This thread was started by someone who grabbed the developer version off github. That version is not meant to be user friendly, frankly.
