Mod Multiplayer problems

Hi, i know this has been posted around before but the answers and or lack of solutions has me puzzled.

Basically here's the short version: I have a friend, we played the regular version of this game fine with no issues connecting. In fact, I have even found with the mod we can both connect to other peoples games (so long as checksum and all are the same). We did all of our port forwarding, make sure our checksums are the same. Both have the game installed through docs etc.

For the life of us, we cant figure out what could possibly be not allowing us to join in the mod together. We also tried hamachi, but cant seem to get that working even though i have used it in the past with other games.

Please if anyone has any ideas what we could be missing, please please help..

There must be something overlooked. I play with my brother all the time and even though it feels a bit unstable were still able to connect.
- Delete all your data in your mod folders located in my documents.
- Make shure you do a clean re install. All the files should be placed in mydoucuments/paradox/mod folder not Steam/Ck2/mods
- Thats all i can think of atm that could be wrong
