Is there anyone who is able to play this mod without crashes? There is a lot of people who have crashes on certain dates...So is this everyone or is there people who don't get this crash

I get a lot of crashes when starting from specific bookmarks, the first bookmark gave me a rather consistent crash leading up to 8005. Starting from a clash of kings and a feast for crows bookmarks also occasionally leads to CTD after a while, still playable though. On the other hand I've been playing a game starting from Faith Militant Uprising for hours without a single crash, therefore I assumed some scripted events are to blame. So which ones are these certain dates are we talking about?

I am getting runtime error everytime trying to start the mod, when the game creates the map. Any idea what could be wrong?

Which version of the game are you running? Which version of the mod? Also which DLCs are you running? Any other mods? How much RAM does your computer have? Does your errorlog record any other error than lady forlorn and blank texture?

- 2.0.3. There's indeed something strange with the checksum. First it was something like QLFM so i've checked integrity and now it's COWM and Steam says all is ok...
- 0.5. As i saw that crash comes always at the borders creation, i've reinstalled with this new borders submod. Didn't help.
- Everything except SI (not turned on, i didn't want Aztecs from outer space...) and SoA (don't have)
- Installed into completly cleaned mod directory.
- 3GB, never had any RAM issues.
- Errorlog:
[texturehandler.cpp:181]: Couldn't find texture file: gfx//interface//decision_icon_lady_forlorn.dds.
[spritetype.cpp:370]: Error initialising texture: gfx\\interface\\decision_icon_lady_forlorn.dds for spritetype GFX_give_ladyforlorn_to_son
[texturehandler.cpp:181]: Couldn't find texture file: gfx//event_pictures//aztec_court.tga.
[spritetype.cpp:370]: Error initialising texture: gfx\\event_pictures\\aztec_court.tga for spritetype GFX_evt_emissary_mesoamerican
[texturehandler.cpp:181]: Couldn't find texture file: gfx//interface//blank.dds.
[spritetype.cpp:370]: Error initialising texture: gfx\\interface\\blank.dds for spritetype GFX_blank
[spritetype.cpp:370]: Error initialising texture: gfx\\event_pictures\\aztec_court.tga for spritetype GFX_evt_throne_room_mesoamerican

I had a similar problem. Turn of some of the graphical and audio DLCs, the mod doesn't use music dlcs at all, and just a handful of the graphical dlcs. This may be a RAM issue and that's how I got it to work. Also the checksum changing doesn't sound right. You might want to reinstall.

After cleaning everything and installing 0.5.1, game gave me simple crash, but at the second time loaded properly. I know what i will do this weekend, just had berothed Tyrion to newborn Margie, took Catelyn after KIA Eddard and sent Cersei to Stannis (Bob is happy with Lyanna) ;D
The bad thing is that i see the same issues with military AI that are being reported around. Troops make circles, disband and raise every week, complete chaos.

Robert's Rebellion.
But it doesn't matter. I've just tried to start it with exactly the same configuration as yesterday and got the same runtime error as before, again. Adding the broken military AI, i don't have time and patience for it.

Heh, but one day you'll have to go into war anyway, even if you chose a peaceful start...
And i gave the mod one more chance... and found out it's like 50-50 chance if it crashes or start. Funny.

A runtime error on game loading suggest you don't have enough memory to load the mod, with the adiditon of Essos the requirements have increased. A Westeros only submod is planned, which will be easier on the system.

Hm, i have 3GB RAM and can play Football manager with 120000 players in game and have whole database of it loaded into editor at the same time... i guess it's the price for the easyness of modding CK2. I'll try to always try to open the mod on freshly started computer and see if there will be difference.
And Westeros-only submod is a really good news as i don't have interest in Essos play anyway.

Checking the mod (in Win7, with the Task Manager) once loaded a bookmark successfully, it stays very close to the 2GB mark. I understand that this limit is one that can cause CTD problems. I wonder if the programs that were used to modify the EU3 executable for some huge mods that run into that memory problem might help or not, at least for those CTD that might not be caused by graphic file issues.

I managed to play 20 years or so, no crashed, conquered the entire world as Daenyris.
