Same here with the minor titles.

Glad this is still going strong, btw. :)

EDIT: One thing I see right from the start, it would be awesome if there were more non-ruler characters spawned at start, ones that are actually supernaturals (not mortals with supernatural religion). So that you had people to fill council with. Although maybe that's on purpose, to simulate low numbers of vampires? (although an Anarch werewolf is just funny xD)

EDIT2: The AI also seems to be suffering from a partial case of "the units start and stop their movement 20 times a second". :(
There are random supernatural courtiers created. I could increase the chance of it.

Also, your barons should be supes, and you can create 5 vampire Childer. You can also ghoul 5 characters. So you should have no trouble filling your council.

The start/stop movement I think is a balance issue related to small unit size. I may have to increase it... bring it back towards vanilla.

Hi There,

I need a bit of help loading the Mod. It looks like it is functioning as the splash screen pops up, but the bookmarks do not seem to reflect vampire kingdoms. Any help in solving this issue would be appreciated.

Play. Right now, all the bookmarks are shattered world, and they take some time to turn supernatural.

I found it useful to start a game with any country, simulate a month or two so that everything gets supernatural'd, save it as "after shattering" ore somesuch and then treat it as a bookmark from which I can choose my character/create a new one.

And I will repeat myself because it's driving me nuts in play - is there any way to make AI at war not just stand there and start movement - cancel movement - start movement - cancel movement etc. all day long? It seems to only happen when the forces are almost even (when I had a holy war, enemy allies had no problem to kill me when lost 2/3 of my army...), but in shattered world conditions it means "half the time".

Also, there really needs to be a way to make alliances other than marriage, at least for Vampires.

EDIT: Is it on purpose that, at least in the 1250 bookmark, some provinces have no holdings at all (some in Norway and in Baltic region, but also Constantinople)?

I think the lack of movement from armies is related to balance issues, because I greatly reduced the size of armies and perhaps the fortification of havens is too great. I'm going to revert to vanilla army sizes and vanilla buildings and see if that resolves that issue.

If you don't want to wait for me to do it, try deleting all the buildings files in the mod, this whole directory
https://github.com/peregrine-colleg....2/Princes_of_Darkness_v_0.2/common/buildings

Also, in this file https://github.com/peregrine-colleg...s_of_Darkness_v_0.2/common/defines/00_POD.lua
Delete the line "NDefines.NAI.BASE_AI_ARMY_SIZE = 100"

The mercenaries will also be very underpowered compared to holdings. Their stats are here:
https://github.com/peregrine-colleg.../Princes_of_Darkness_v_0.2/common/mercenaries

As to how to make allies without marriage, that's a good question. If you are part of one of the large bloodlines, then you should have a lot of allies because you are the same dynasty. You may fill that you even have too many allies that way. The way I have set up the dynasties is that there is atleast one prominent dynasty per clan per culture. So the English Ventrue are distinct dynasty from the French Ventrue, etc....

The lack of holdings in some provinces is now vanilla. Those provinces start as Tribal and Nomadic provinces, which have no holdings. I stopped modifying the history files. I'll need to either edit the vanilla to give those empty provinces holdings at those bookmarks; or have to code something into the script that transitions it. Right now, I think vanilla depends on the NPCs spending gold to put down holdings and then deciding to go from nomadic to tribal or feudal, or from tribal to feudal.

I'll have to take a look at Constantinople. Actually, thats probably vanilla... looking at my last release 0.2, I didn't even include any history province files. Just characters and titles.

Just a trouble shooting update, taking out the haven buildings wasn't enough to end troop flickering. Removing the entire buildings folder and deleting the line "NDefines.NAI.BASE_AI_ARMY_SIZE = 100" put an end to the flickering of units not moving. I'll have to re-examine how I'm going to handle troop sizes. They may come to represent the power of particular units rather than troop numbers.

Removing the common/minor_titles/POD_vampire_titles ended the crash from using the minor titles menu. I'll have to see if its just a particular title or not; look for something that's incompatible. The problem maybe with either the embrace childer or with ghouls, I think, since both add traits.

I honestly thought this was already the case, as buildings provided like +5 soldiers yet the armies were 800-900 strong, I just assumed the big numbers represented the vampires involved.

Could you explain this please? The mod looks great but do I just need to let it play at top speed for a couple of months and wait for things to right themselves or am I missing something?

At the beginning of each game the characters don't have their traits or religions yet. In the first couple of months the game hands these traits out and convert characters and provinces to different religions. Everything should be sorted out by the 4th month at the latest (from my experience).

A quick post just to remind flintsparc that he's got some faithful followers who wish him and his mod all the best. ;)
There should be more in the future. Life and work have been taking up sometime.

I also may have done graphics for 20 different Mage: the Ascension factions (religion strip small, religion strip medium, traits, coats of arms). There are 26+ factions I'd like to include. Then there are the various Houses (Dynasties) of the Order of Hermes from Ars Magica to include. And traits for the 9 spheres. And that's without touching Mage: the Awakening.

This mod looks absolutely great.
I found it by chance and me and my VtM group are thrilled by it.
Great work for what I can see so far. Is this goind to be updated? I can't go back to 2.4, and weird things happen on 2.3.6 or 2.4.4 (can't keep a customized Character, minor titles not working as they should and so on, bookmarks not showing on tab..).

Please keep it up! ^_^
