Mod problem: the game can not load new added tga. file in the gfx/coat of arms folder

I have added a file for new Mons and named more02.tga, then changed the coat of arms.txt in the interface folder to read this new file.
But moddir can not find and load the tga. file, and it brings CTD.

When I install this file into the original gfx folder, it is no problem, so there might be some loading issue by moddir.

EDIT:
The game seems not to read tga. files in the mod folder.

For now include the mod path in your file paths in the coat of arms file.

file = "mod\\mymod\\gfx\\coats_of_arms\\more02.tga"

This has been confirmed to work.

Thanks!

I bumped this thread again, since I have same problem by modding trait icons.
The traits folder under the mod sub folder can not be recognized, so the modded icons don't appear in game.
The game still has general problem with loading gfx folder in the mod sub folder.

I thought that direct full path does only work for creasts, but adding mod/my mod/gfx/traits/ for traits.gfx in the interface folder works too.
So I should always write full path when I change something about gfx? And is it just for the files in the gfx folder of mods?

Yes i believe so, not sure if this is something present in Sengoku only or in other titles also. Sorry about this, agree with you that it is kind of confussing.

Thanks for the advice! I hope CK2 would have better solution, since I am certain that there will be many gfx mods.
