Is this mod compatible with CK2Plus? Thanks.

Pardon me for not answering. I believe CK2+ uses its own version of portrait_properties, so I'd have to make the neccessary changes there. (Meaning, dowager queens wouldn't wear the royal clothes and etc)

The same problem is true for CPR. I'll attempt to make a patch that's compatible, but I can't test it, as I do not have all the portrait packs.

If you make a version that works with the current build of CK2Plus, let me know. I'd gladly add it into the base game, if you'll allow.

I'd be totally fine with that. But I don't know if you want to do that just yet. I've still got a bit more polish to apply. Removing nicknames on death & etc. And, as far as I know, anyone who is granted a nickname under this system would be ineligible to get one by normal means. I mean, I'm fine with that, but I don't expect everyone else to feel the same.

...All of this would be a non-issue if the Usermod Coordinator was able to make a way for us to hand out minor titles that originate from foreign courts; then I wouldn't be forced to use nicknames. :(

Can't you use special titles?

Special titles don't change the "of" part of things. It just adds a prefix to the front of their names or replaces an existing prefix. I make use of this for the "lord" and "lady" titles. Technical every minor title that this mod hands out is granted from the character's liege; that's the only way a minor_title can be granted. Which is why I cannot grant a minor title to an independent ruler, and is why I must use the nicknames. Or else the titles would show up as "Duchess Anne of <whatever court she's in>" for example.

Something else that I've been curious about while using the SWMH map, does this affect localizations of titles such as King and Queen?

I play with Speak English Dammit; so my mod does not, and will never, deal with SWMH's foreign localisations. It *should* support everything, though, if you are playing with SED. The exception to this is if a certain landed title uses a different form of localisation than the default for the culture. (Ex: King-tier rulers are called "Duke" in the HRE de jure - my mod does not currently support that. I'd have to create a separate minor title for each variation, and I've no intention to do that. If the usermod coordinator would: 1. Allow me to hand out minor titles originating from foreign courts, and 2. Use dynamic localisation keys in those titles; it would be doable.)

New Version:

  • Fixed a (vanilla?) "bug" where king-tier rulers would wear duke-headgear if they were married to a duke-tier ruler.
  • Fixed a (vanilla?) "bug" where royalty would switch to wearing lower-tier clothes if they were married to a baron, count, or duke.
  • Royalty will almost always wear "royal clothes" if they are entitled to it. In the past, there was about a 50/50 chance of a royal wearing count-tier clothes. This change had to be made in order to fix the above (^) bugs.
  • Fixed a bug where widows of princes would not be re-granted the title "princess" if they moved courts.
  • Removed unused events/localisation.
  • Every event should have a hidden window now.
Upcoming Module:

Ever notice how queen-regents have a tendency of abandoning their children, their power, and their status to move halfway across the world to marry the younger son of a duke? Not anymore! My next version will include an optional expansion that prevents queen regents from marrying at all. I know, it is a very crude way to prevent this situation, but paradox has not seen fit to let me mod the marriage AI, so this will have to do.

So, any news on this?

Now that you mention it, I do have an updated version. I kind of forgot to post it here... this is largely a mod I made for my own personal use.

I can't remember what I've changed, other than the fact that a few bugs have been fixed, it's compatible with 2.6, and I might've added a couple small things.
