Hi,

thx for mod but are you sure yr mod works with AoD as well?

"1. Grab the .zip file from the link above and unpack to your Mods folder in the Iron Cross installation directory (like in: X:\Your IRON CROSS\Mods\).
2. Launch the setup program (IronCross_Setup.exe if you don't know) and choose "Cross of Iron vBETA9", from the "Mod" menu, under the checksum box."

AoD version of Iron Cross does not have mods directory by deault, nor ironcross_setup.exe. Im supposed to do copy paste?

Edit: Copy paste does not work.

Hey. Sorry for that.

I didn't actually use Mods folder for AoD (I did that for DH, but it wasn't properly working). I manually pasted the required files into the required folders. Bear in mind - you shouldn't do the same, as some graphics are NOT universal (they're of different sizes for each game) and I had to resize them manually.

Currently, only the method with MODS folder is working. That leaves HoI2 DD Arma as the only viable option for now; I will prepare detailed installation guides and fitting graphics for AoD/DH when the final version of Cross of Iron comes out. Until then - stay tuned.

Great!
1. Sure, where do I get those technology trees backgrounds?
2. I have no remote idea how to decompile an .EXE, I'll google research about this.
3. Ok, I'll start with that and upload it to a cloud service when finished.
4. Sounds like a lost cause :p

Sadly the mod only worked the first time and now is droping some nice CTD, but didn't have much time to see what happened (crunchy deadlines this weekend) so... I'm hoping to have this fixed in a day or two.

Cheers!

EDIT: Uploaded the CONFIG folder without extra languages on .csv files.

Hey. It's brilliant you're helping me! Could you revamp .CSV files I would give you (upload to some file hosting)? You know, so I would work on the latest version and could avoid copy'n'pasting.

And don't bother yourself with decompiling .EXE, please. if you don't know how to do it already, it's not worth it to teach yourself the tedious procedure of decompliling executable files and tracking down particular calls to various libraries. Trust me, I shall request a third-party expert for assistance.

Anyway, if you could format .CSV files I would give you, then I could quickly finish the graphical part of the mod, so your help with the backgrounds wouldn't be required in that case.

Can anyone with Iron Cross installed on their machine (in version 1.04RC1 for HoI2 DD Arma, without this mod), tell me does their game crash or hang up, when clicking on Convoy management in the production tab, then on one of the "Create Supply/Resource Convoy" buttons?

Mine doesn't. I get CTDs sometimes, but it is very rare and seems to be random - except some events.
I don't suspect anything in particular. Apart from the Chinese surrender, the Vichy France and German surrender events which are a bit "dangerous"

Hey, to clarify which buttons I meant, here's the screenshot.

If they do not, could you tell me your software specs, please?

System (which Windows [XP/7/8/10] and if 32 or 64-Bits) plus and the version of drivers for your graphic card (AMD/Intel/nVidia; if you could tell me what graphic card you have as well, that would be really helpful).

As for the mentioned events, they CTD for me sometimes too. However, I can't do squat about that at the moment.

hio.....THANKS FOR YOU HARD WORK SO FAR....sad so few mods for iron cross...hope you dont give up...thanks again

There are tons of mods in the "Scenarios and User Modifications", but if you want to see them you would need to click on the "Thread Display Options" (at the bottom; use "Find" in your browser if you can't locate it) and then "Set Options" (on the right; once again "Find" might be useful). This method is relevant to all other (sub)forums on Paradox Forums.

Bear in mind that 99% of links are now dead in the treasure grove you're about to discover.

EDIT: Right, I already had some ape complaining it doesn't work - you need to be logged in to do that. And you need to do that for each forum separately.

Oh, yes, I did.

No CTD with the convoys. But always CTD when I press OVERVIEW at the tech panel...

Hey, I think I have found why the game crashes in both cases. But I would need a screenshot of your configuration in IRONCROSS_SETUP.EXE, an external confirmation, to narrow five possibilities to two. Post it, please.

There you are: [IMAGE]

Awesome. Since you're not using the "Windowed Mode", we are on something. Now, please select that mode, then save and run the game, then test if it still crashes when you click the "Overview" tab. The "Windowed Mode" is also faster, by the way.

PS. You will need to change the display mode to 16 bit before running IC in the window. How to make it on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 - you can find it here.

In Windows 10, you would need to right click on the executable or the shortcut, and select "Properties" and "Compatibility", then select "Reduced Color Mode". Have a screenshot:

Now you should be able to test it for yourself, with this detailed mini-guide. Do that and tell me the results, please.
