Being that the -10% Fervor penalty per Sinful Priest exposed is one of the main reason why Catholicism is so borked in the current version, would it be possible to create a mod that either decrease or remove this penalty?

I would make an exception for the Pope, however. Being exposed as a Sinful Pope should harm the flock. However, the whole Christendom shouldn't care that much if some Suffragan Bishop somewhere is being a sinful jerk.

Or, maybe something like this?

Suffragan Bishop = No Penalty
Bishop = -2% Fervor
Archbishop = -5% Fervor
Pope = -10% Fervor

I'm surprised that for so many people railing against this in the main forum, no mod was proposed to fix it until Paradox takes a look at it.
 
As I was annoyed by this yesterday, here a small mod. Fervor loss due to sin is -0.1 (regular) and -2 (head of religion). Gain due to virtue is +1 (maybe this should be less too?). I also reduced overall fervor gain to 0.1, so that non-Catholic religions are not stuck at 100% fervor all the time.

Catholicism's fervor still tanks regularly, but no longer due to the random sin events, but all its Holy Wars (which I consider fine balance-wise).

I had a few observer test runs and Catholicism never collapsed.

In all my observer mode test runs, Catholicism was doing fine. But now, in the first game which I am actually playing with this on myself, France went Catherist. But that is fine. Crusade against France it is. Or against Lothringia, accoridng to the Pope, as France owns one or two provincens there. It is a tiny France.

Maybe this is simply a bias due to me playing slowly. In the observer test runs on highest speed, maybe France was actually Catharist and I just didn't notice because it didn't last very long.
