I have neither the time nor the experience, but after all the talk is anyone thinking of making an extended map? RIMP is great, but what would benefit the game now more than anything else IMO is extension out at least as far as Afghanistan and the Oxus, maybe to include the Indus Valley. It would also be cool to have a bit more of the steppe as well as perhaps Arabia (minus the interior) and Nubia. If this came at the expense of Britain, Ireland or the interior of northern Europe I for one wouldn't complain.

As a side-effect we would have Buddhism and at least one new culture-group - Indian.

Just came from an extremely frustrating game as Parthia and it felt like I was in a slave pen between the arbitrary map edge and the overpowering Seleucid beast.

Anyone?

Agree, but it should include up to Jaxartes, not Oxus. Remember the outermost hellenistic city was Alexandria Eschate, today Khodjent (former Leninabad) in the Fergana Valley.

I think it should include the whole of Khorezm, Transoxiana, Fergana and Bactriana north, and Indus Valley East. Playing as Seleucid Empire (my favorite) or Parthia is greatly handicapped by the actual map. Not to mention the enormous increase in flavor to the game if these areas and their cultures and religions were included.

Hopefully RIMP will do that though.

Yes, we are working on these areas : as far as Meroe, Axum, Avalites, Arabia, Indus valley, Fergana valley and Iaxartes.
Of course, it will imply new cultures and religions. The Seleucid and Parthian game will be thus greatly increased.

Meroe rather than Feroe ! ;)

I wish Paradox would expand the map for an Alexander expansion. :)

Since Johan claims that Rome sold well, I bet an expansion on that level would attract a great deal even more players.

When it comes to the addition of the east, Bactria is what i'm longing for the most. It'd be great if my favourite EB nation would make it to EU:Rome!
Great to hear that you are progressing RIMP. I do wonder how you will get the topology done though  .

The entire new toponymy (provinces, super provinces and cities) is already established thanks to, mainly, the huge and very accurate Barrington Atlas of the Greek and Roman World. But it is the map and flags' design and the scripture of all the .txt files which takes a lot of time.

can you post the toponomy map if you have prepared it? Like you did for the other areas that were changed. And does "Meroe better than Faroe" mean that you're going to cut Britannia?

Thanks alot for the great work, it's really an huge improvement.

We prefer not to publish a map before its complete realization and all the final checkings. :)
Britannia will not be cutted and Caledonia will be represented.
