Hello,

I was curious if there was any interest in doing a mod that would stop the water animation? If the water animation was stopped, would it speed up the game? If yes, a mod for this would be welcome.

There is a mod for EU3 called Theatrum Orbis Terrarum (TOT). One of the nice things about it was that it turned off the water animation (or at least it had none) and I would believe this helped speed up the game computations. If I'm wrong, then please disregard. I wish I could mod but I do not have the time or know-how. I just know that Rome is definately slower than any of my EU3:IN games ever where.

Otherwise.. the game is great! :)

I don't think the slower speed in Rome is caused by graphics, it's probably due to the character system. Unlike IN, Rome has to take care of a huge number of characters, all of them with ambitions, traits and linked events.
