Fight for your liege or join a mercenary band. Join a crusade in search of forgiveness or join an invasion for wealth and glory.

They sure are bud . Don't try selecting them at game start or save lol. You can become a theocracy after you purchase a holding from your liege once you become a noble. Tell your liege you would like to build a temple and you will become a theocracy . Later down in development you will be able to switch governments via societies also

Correct non-merchant republic. Gain nobility and right click on your liege's primary title. There you will see an option to purchase and holding. When you purchase that holding just select Build a City and you will become a Republic

Hi,
I have a problem being stuck as lowborn after I was landed. In essence joining the invasion of Mercia in the HIP mod always results in becoming landed as a participant as far as I can tell, 3 out of 3 tries at least. Now this might be not a bug but rather a conflict but could you please elaborate on the console command for being able to read as this is the prerequisite for becoming a noble, and the learning to read event does not occur after becoming landed it seems.

It is indeed a bug which is fixed in this new upcoming version. Please do not use Rise To Power with HIP...it is incompatible

Very excited to play this mod. I downloaded it, added it to the mod folder. However when I try to load the game, half way through it just closes down. This only happens when I have the Rise to Power mode activated. Any ideas what the problem could be?

On the wiki, it says it's neither compatible with Ancient Religions nor Orders of Chivalry. How come? Those seem very self-contained and unrelated to the mod's concept.

One messes around with the religion strips, governments, etc. The other breaks my mercenary government.

Hey is there somehow you can fix the choose lowborn in intrigue can be trigger more then 1 time, as we only can do it once, in mp xD
