First of all, this is a wonderful and immersive mod. I've been playing around with over the last two days and I was wondering how do you reduce corruption/what sets the modifier? I started in 1066 and noticed most realms are losing 100% of their revenue to corruption (I'm losing 80% as the Byzantine Empire). I've tried getting less corrupt officials, high stewardship, high tech, etc. but, nothing seems to work.

It will be possible to reduce the corruption later on in the dev stage via technology. Right now the bigger you get, the more corruption you get...this is done due to balance in order to slow down steamrolling from big realms

Hi everyone, I’m enjoying the mod but I think I encountered a bug. I am using the manually downloaded version and play with no other mod than this.
I started in 769 as a landless bastard and in a century I managed to become a landless noble and earn enough money to buy a holding. The only problem is that I was a marshal of the emperor of the HRE and therefore I was residing in the imperial capital and not in the county where I had my manor and where I wanted to buy the holding.
Note that at this point I could already buy a holding, only it was in a county I didn’t want. To solve this problem I resigned from council, and thanks to this I would have been able to buy a holding in my county, if it wasn’t for the fact that the option is grayed out. Hovering over the grayed out option it says that I am not able to buy the holding because I am not landless, even if I definitively am landless, in fact I was able buy the holding before, when I was a councilor. Also after this I tried to become a mercenary and buy the holding, and it worked, only it’s a problem for me because I don’t like to be a mercenary.
Hope this bug report is enough to make you figure out what is the problem and solve it.

Can I switch to any courtier? I'd like to do a El Cid run
No

Maybe I'm missing something blatantly obvious, but I thought losing all the player character's land was supposed to be an instant game over. How does this mod work around that?
Was going to say magic, but somebody else spoiled the fun

Hello

Firstly I am loving this mod and have played a lot of it over the last few days, however I have noticed a few things that may or may not be bugs and felt I should report them. Firstly as I started as a vassal of France in 1066 and clicked start RTP as a bastard and then a week later was made the Master of the Hunt of France, I just thought that was strange since I was a bastard with 0 skills and no communication with the king. Secondly, I have that same character who has been in a battle brother in a mercernary band for the last 20 years and I think I will have to restart because he has no children and for some reason he seems to be bugged into a non-returning mercenary. During his time in the mercenary band his wife (and regent) died of natural causes and I was wondering if this could've caused it if the game was waiting for the wife to say he had returned. Again, loving the mod.

Hi i have problem with this mod all skill, atributes and focus is worse than normal game i cant repair that. I have all dlc Whta i can to do with that ?

Yeah I need to add a catch for that. The mercenary campaigns are dependent on the person that hires them...if they are hired for a long time: so are you. Here is a pro tip for ya: DO NOT join campaigns unless you have a heir already.

If you read the patchnotes you would know that I changed all of those. The mod is working fine and there is no need to "repair" anything.

Just a heads up, this mod seems to work well enough with Umbra Spherae Reborn. I had a good fifteen year run as a bastard soldier on campaign in Charlemagne's ranks and a fully upgraded hovel (before I was killed in Hispania). One thing I did find is that I had to cap the income/disease effects at 50% because in tandem with the degradation from Twilight of Empires and Dark Ages all kingdom level realms or higher were being hit with at least -160% of income and other detrimental effects. However, that is a matter of personal taste and not a defect of the mod. This is a fantastically immersive piece of work and thanks again for making it.

Glad to hear it! Just be careful if the mod touches governments and religions...otherwise there surely will be issues down the line :/

Hey, so I downloaded de mod and my game crashes at "Loading Databases" if I try to load the game with mod activated. I have tried to load the mod without any DLC'S and it crashes as well. I have no other mods. Can someone help me?

This is what the "Error.log" file shows:

Edit:
Okay, I gess it's something because of the Lua scripting ITSELF... I tried to remove the "rtp_defines.lua" and the game worked again... then I edited that file and left just some lines on that script, put back it where belonged, and the game crashed so...
Does Lua scripts require a program to run or what?

Edit 2:
I GOT IT!!!!! It was NOT the Lua scripting itself, it was actually the EXACT ONLY THREE LINES I LEFT IN THERE IN THE PREVIOUS TEST, I MEAN, WHAT ARE THE ODDS???
It was the "Wonders". I did a one by one test, and none of them in particular makes the crash, it is the wonders itself. I removed that from the code and now it is working fine. May I ask what is the wonders and what that three lines do?

Anyway, I am going to leave this comment here so that if someone have the same problem as I had, they'll know what to sacrifice in order to play, because there is NO information elsewhere about this.

The Wonders was a free feature from PDX. If you are playing with the most recent version of CK2 those 3 lines shouldn't be crashing your game.
