Is there a way to start a game without stripping the actual landed character of their lands? When I use the character creator to make a new character, the original owner of the land dies and his liege gets the title. For example, I tried to start out in Athens in 769, which is held by a guy named Konstantinos. I make my own character, start in Athens, Konstantinos dies and the emperor gets the county. I didn't want to kill the guy, I just wanted to start in his county!

Really like the immersion. Thanks for making this.

Got it. Appreciate the response.

Follow on question to that: Is there a way to play your mod in a particular place without either playing as the original title holder or stripping the original title holder of the title? Do you think it might be possible to create my character in one save, copy all of his data from the save file, and paste him into a new game? Or is the stuff in the background too complex to allow that?

Please forgive my noob questions. I just figured out the basics of modding yesterday.

Edit: Actually, I won't waste your time. I'll just test it myself!

Edit 2: In case anyone was interested, it seems you can't do that. Or maybe I was just doing it wrong.

I have a problem, i don't know why but the game charges until the middle and then it closes. It only happens with rtp i have all the dlcs and i don't play with any other mod si what i'm missing? Sorry for bad English

I have question: how long does it take to level up your job from Level 1 to Level 2 as a lowborn? I was wondering because I did not find that information on the wiki article about the mod.

When I try and make a character using ruler designer, 80 percent of the trait list is missing and there value is 0. Is there a way im supposed to install this. I just hit the subscribe button on steam.

If 80% of the traits are missing in the ruler designer, then you have installed the game correctly.

Really loving the mod, it's heaps of fun and there's enough downtime to read, too! However, is there a way that stops those darned matrilineal marriages? Three times now I've been a few nuggets of prestige shy of claiming nobility, only for my character's daft sisters (in my last playthru, it was a sister and THREE nieces, seriously beginning to think the RNG is not happy with me this week) to sink the prestige right back down again. I have the option turned off in game rules, but is there something else I'm missing?

Wonderful mod, I really enjoy the new societies. This probably is the most flavourful way to play CK2 and I wish there were a version of this mod for every total conversion.

I really enjoy this mod. It makes the game much more interesting and I hope many of its features find their way into ck3. I do have one question. Is there a way to play this that doesn't break the decisions? I miss being able to buy indulgences and join religious cults. Am I playing it wrong?

I can confirm that RtP will be coming to CKIII. Indulgences should be available once you become landed and evil societies will be back later

Could you use the "create families" option, so at least the dynasty of the character you replace survives and keeps the titles?

Hi ^^
I don't think it's possible. RtP is overhaul mod and so are Faerun and Guardian of Azeroth. Overhaul mods doesn't work with each other.
You can maybe try to merge RtP with one of these mods, but it would be long and painful process.
You would have to check if any event code isn't the same in both mods. If stuff in both mods doesn't contradict itself in general.
So it is possible, but you would have to so it by yourself.
I saw one modder has done it for AGOT, but occassional crushes still happened
