The handing out of Marquis, Duke or King titles by the Emperor still doesn't happen. I've looked and there is imperial_desicion file and it seems the decision is there, but nothing happens in game. I meet the requirements and I'm of the Confucian religion, but I don't get the title of Marquis. Am I missing something?

Romance of the Three Kingdoms

To those who have played any game featuring the Three Kingdoms, or who have

What patch is this compatible with?

I must be blind, but I cannot for the life of me see the line which states what version of CK2 this runs on? Usually these are on the OP?

I will add the compatible to the OP, thanks.

Have you redownloaded the latest version? I activated the decision/events after the "official 0.90" upload.

Huh... Why would they.. Hm... I will check on that. Also, I will add mirror links.

The government fix for way of five pecks is reapplied. Apparently I modified my ck2 vanilla files, not my Mod files when I made this change... My bad.

The province integrity events are not firing, I have fixed it in the dev version. I will patch this and other fixes at the end of next week.

The way Taoism works right now, I'm not sure if it's intended or not, but it has permanent 20 or less MA due to the lack of holy sites. It'd be nice if Taoism had some holy sites so that we could get that MA up and start converting the peasantry to the way of peace.

Hmm. Know of any historical religious places that would fit for what you are asking? Which province would have historically accurate Taiping or Taishi temples?

No idea; I just want to make the peasants Taoists. The cheap way is to make the Confucian holy sites into Tao holy sites as well, but I'll look into this later and come back with some locations.

I have downloaded the latest version. I even did a new install of CK2, but to no avail. How are these titles handed out?

I don't remember the specific Prestige/Piety required to receive the title. But the title giver must be Emperor tier and at Peace (Not at war), as well as have the necessary wealth to fund your title of nobility. I think for a Marquis it was something like 100/250.

The title giver does not give these titles commonly unless you have certain traits or aspects about your character that make him/her like you more, such as:
1. Commander
2. Council position
3. Significantly exceeds necessary prestige/piety
4. Same dynasty as the Emperor
5. Friend of the Emperor
(Others as well)

Just having the necessary prestige/piety may not be enough.

Hey JaceX, amazing mod you've put together here. The Three Kingdoms have always had a special place in my heart thanks to Dynasty Warriors and other "Dynasty" games, so it's great to be able to experience this setting in CK2.

Anyway, I've come here with what I think is a bug report:
P4YNqWY.jpg

Instead of having names like Administrator for their Duke level title, some characters are named "Kings", have no dynasty, and refuse to marry and have children, some even start wearing the 'religious' clothing of this mod. I don't really mind the "King" part, but some have actually done great deeds (like mister Xing here, who liberated Liang from the ruthless reign of Wang Siyu of Qing) and I am somewhat saddened that they do not get to have children who will utterly destroy their legacy as most other great characters do.
Is this WAD?

Hey @cosmelll, can you send me your savefile? I want to see what is going on as I haven't experienced this yet. (I have an idea of why this is happening for you).

P.S. What is your build version?

I was wondering if there was a way to play the mod with the Geheimnisnacht Cathayan portraits. They seem to fit better. Of course you'd need permission from Silfae first.

These portraits are wonderful, indeed! The Mongol Portrait Pack is just not that good. I would prefer the Anime Portraits mod if it was compatible.

I think the portraits are interesting. If y'all want to mod them into the mod yourselves and create some kind of sub-mod, I would definitely include it as an option. Personally, I don't know if the anime style matches with the vanilla CK2 portraits and the current skin/avatar mods we are using. But if y'all want to make the skin pack work, then go for it!

Hey JaceX, I'll send you the save sometime this week since I'm not at home right now. The version I'm using is the one from the OP, I've downloaded it not even two weeks ago.

I believe I had already given permission (provided that is given credit to me and Geheimnisnacht) to use the Cathayans in this mod, if I remember correctly. So, if you want to, go ahead.

I changed the extension of the file to .txt because the forum did not allow me to post a .ck2 file for some reason, here you go. I believe the King of Liang was still alive. If you want to reproduce the bug, I believe Ma Teng of Xiliang has had the issue in the 3-4 games I played.

Correction: Ma Teng of Xiliang has the normal title as Administrator, but for some reason refuses to marry. Those who inherit his title have the same issue. It may be the AI's odd decision-making at work.

Minor update to fix various issues.
Should fix various government problems.
Updated province integrity events to actually work in almost every title inheritance case.
The AI not marrying is a vanilla problem (connected to custom titles), but I have added an event to force marriages.
Updated how nobility titles are inherited. If no close kin exist, title is destroyed.
I have also filled out holy sites for all religions.

Changelog:

(0.901)
  • Updated province integrity events.
  • Updated empire forming events.
  • Nobility ranks events updated.
  • Laws updated.
  • Holy sites added for other religions.
  • Created additional background events.
  • 5 characters added.
  • Various character and event bug fixes.

EDIT: Thank you all for pointing out the various bugs! I wouldn't be able to fix all these issues if y'all weren't involved. Awesome work.

I made a minor update that updates duel handling in the decision and events to clear battle flags and handle revolters, no version change.

I had several people on reddit and elsewhere suggest that I create a music pack for the mod. Would anyone be able to create a music sub-mod for our mod?

EDIT: Modified again to handle duels with raiders and add more duel targetting fixes.

I'm now getting that the Windows exe download is members only which previously I never experienced before. Could you please upload it to the Paradox forums or some other file hosting service? Or fix the download yourself if it's something you can fix.

Edit: One can sign in to ModDB with Steam, so this isn't a big deal.
