I recently felt the urge to add Streak SRMs to my game and while this already has been done it's always part of really extensive other changes which are too much for me. So i decided to give it a try myself and it worked out.

So, for anybody who likes Streaks but *only* Streaks you can visit github or nexusmods and download the mod there.

# Streak Missile Launchers

[Battletech Mod][ModTek] Adds short range Streak Missile Launchers to Battletech. Includes Streak SRM-2, Streak SRM-4 and Streak SRM-6 launchers. Includes VFX for targeting lasers.

## Details
- Implements Streak SRMs according to the ruleset described at sarna.net
- Launchers send out a targeting laser pulse (this is borrowed from the vanilla small pulse laser)
- If the lock-on succeeds *all* missiles of the corresponding launcher are garantueed to hit their target
- If the lock-on fails no missile will be fired and the ammo is preserved
- Small text floaties will give feedback on the target lock
- Streaks (as their specialized ammunition) can potentially be found on any starsystem with former starleague presence
- High quality versions are included too

## Notes
- Streak SRM-4 and Streak SRM-6 launchers aren't canon but with Heavy Metal, what is?

Streak 4 and 6 were eventually added later in the timeline. According to Sarna, the Inner Sphere developed them in 3058, whereas the Streak SRM 2 became available in 3035.

sweet....love streak srm2's gives me a reason to use the srm2.
will give it a go and add it to my Hyades Rim playtrhu

As stated here: https://www.sarna.net/wiki/Streak_SRM-2 the SSRM2 was introduced in 2647 and *reintroduced* in 3035. The SHD-2Hb equips them for example. But nevermind, this mod was made with a "Heavy Metal" mindset... :)

Loaded your mod into an existing career and just get the whirling circles forever trying to load a save.

Disable your mod and all is good again. That's using the in game mod launcher.

Other mods installed is Bigger Drops/Misison Control, Hyades Rim, Elite Forces, BTMLColorLOSMod, Random Campaign Start and Less Head Injuries

Let me know if there is any more logs or such like I can provide

I've updated to 1.9.1-005R recently, there was a small issue which could break loading on some planets. If that does not help, then it'll most likely require ModTek. I don't test against the in game launcher, not enough time...
Best regards

Please have a look in the Mods/StreakMissileLaunchers folder and post the contents of StreakMissileLaunchers.log
Also, there's the output_log.txt from the game itself, location depends on OS and Platform, if you find it you can send it too, i'll have a look then.
Best regards, Mad

The new version seems to have done the trick!
At least careers and missions load fine.
I haven't actually been able to find any yet, but I will make a beeline for the nearest Star league planet and see if I can grab a set.

Many thanks for your quick response!

I crave an all streak Kintaro.

Better yet, a Longbow, lol.

Likewise working

For some reason a Streak SRM6 turned up in the salvage pool after the Black Widow/Bounty Hunter fight - now where to put it!

Yeah, as the Streaks are based on the normal SRMs (and NOT an own WeaponCategory) the vanilla replacement rng on salvage generation will sometimes spit them out regardless of them having the "BLACKLISTED"-tag. You got lucky! :)
@Eximar A four SSRM6 Kintaro is nice, i tested the mod with one!

On a side note, some of the higher tier ssrms have their tonnage reduced to match the regular srm launchers...
