I would like to suggest and request a mod which sets a maximum eduction level when a new Cim is generated.

This would solve the problem of all Cims becoming University graduates.

When a Cim is generated - roll 1-100.

15% can become highly educated
20% can become well educated (High School)
30% can become educated (Elementary School)
45% can not get educated.

Percentages are just an example, no relation to real life of course.

If possible make it so the player can set the percentages in the mod somehow.

Not sure if this is even possible. I only see one mod which alters the Cims themselves so far (Slow Aging Mod)

The way residential buildings fill up actually has more to do with the high education situation than the education itself.

Level 1 residences put out requests only for uneducated people.
Level 2 puts out requests only for educated people.
Level 3 puts out requests only for well educated.
Level 4 and 5 puts out requests only for highly educated.

People will marry between education levels though, so once you have a huge amount of highly educated, they will marry into other residences and level them up and then more people of higher education will move in.

It seems that when citizens decide to move around, if the only available spaces are in higher level houses, less educated people will move out of town and more educated people will move into town to fill the spaces.

This may fit into the scope of the current mod I'm working on, so I might explore the possibility of altering some education related things.

Thank you Mithkabob.

I wasn't sure if it was even possible to add a stat to an individual Cim.

I am more concerned with the 'every building in my city levels up' problem, but if new Cims are generated from out of town to fill high level buildings it may not work. I guess you would have to disable Cims moving out of town somehow. Probably good to have Cims moving in still except the game might try to generate Cims for a high level residence and then the mod would nerf them so they weren't qualified to move in.

Where people live (residence level) should be tied more to job level than education level if it's not already.

45% uneducated? We don't live in the USA.
rude... MODS MODS BAN HIM!!!! :ninja:

Percentages are off ofc, but yes this is definitely what the game needs for more realism. Is this modable already??
