I started working on a Mod that deals with these issues:

Give it a look and see if you like it. Also, if the creator of SWMH is interested, We might work together to make SWMH even more historic.
 
No I didn't scrap the project, I've accidentally lost the files from my disk, that is why :sad: but it isn't a problem, I am eager to restart it from scratch!

I've sent you a friend invitation. Hopefully we will get this done soon! :)
 
Im pleased to inform the world(or anybody who happens to waste their time on computergame forum on a Sunday night:D) that SWMH now is a team project, being made by Rayzox and me.

First of all, thanks for the mod and all your hard work on it.

I would like to share some thoughts on naming conventions in Rus:
1) Since you want to localize titles of the councilors, here is a proposal for the corresponding ones in Rus:
"Chancellor" = "Dyak", "Marshal"="Voevoda", "Steward"="Tiun", "Spymaster"="Tayny sovetnik", "Capellan"="Duhovnik".
2) "Veliky boyar" for the count-level title sounds completely strange, "Udelny knyaz" would be much better (i think that spelling "knyaz" is better than "kniaz"). That is "Count"-"Duke"-"King"-"Emperor" would be "Udelny knyaz"-"Knyaz"-"Veliky knyaz"-"Tsar". The spouse of a "knyaz" is "knyaginya", not "kniagini" (I think we should have the female consorts being called just "knyaginya" for all three levels of "knyaz" titles). A female consort of a "Tsar" is "Tsaritsa". If a woman is reigning, then the titles would look as "Udelnaya knyaginya"-"Knyaginya"-"Velikaya knyaginya"-"Tsaritsa". Then baron would be "Boyarin", bishop would be "Arkhierey".
2) Since you decided to have de jure "kingdoms" in Rus based on later division into roughly Novgorod/Halych-Volyn/everything else, I would suggest naming this "everything else" "Vladimir-Suzdal". This is meaningful since at the time when Novgorod and Halych-Volyn became sort of separate from the rest of Kievan Rus, the center of power in this rest of Kievan Rus was in Vladimir/Suzdal, and the "knyaz" in Vladimir was called the "Veliky knyaz". Also Novgorod at that time was already an oligarchic republic, like Venice.
This would, of course, mean changing the borders of the kingdoms in a corresponding way (i.e. transferring the counties around Vladimir to this Vladimir-Suzdal kingdom).
3) I would suggest using "Russkoe tsarstvo" (= "Tsardom of Rus") for the Empire-Level title.

Thank you:D, I will make sure that the localisations is corrected. Hopefully I can get it all done for the next version but I can't guarentee it(Im trying to juggle all the Italian counties for this update, and its quite a lot of work). If I don't have everything include in the next version, I will make it for the one after.

I forgot to add something:

4) A son of a "knyaz" is called "knyazhich", a daughter is called "knyazhna" (since we have princes and princesses only for kings and not for dukes, these titles should probably be used just for the children of a "veliky knyaz", but without adding "velikiy" for the children). For children of a "tsar" it's "tsarevich"/"tsarevna" respectively.

In that case you might end up getting more than a few questions;).
I know my current edit of the Rus is more than a bit incomplete, its mostly from the very first edition of this mod where I was remakeing a bit of everything all over the continent. I will do an update exclusively dedicated to the Rus at some point.

It is called principality(must admit I had forgotten and needed to chek:eek:o, but thats what the file says)
 
And so I would like to help you... giving more work to do :p Sorry for being pain in the... but I think I'd like to have this mod as good as possible ;)

My proposals are:
- Lublin should be in Poland (but it can stay in de iure duchy of Belz)
- What about Ujvar in Hungary? Does it need to look like this:

- Birlad might have better shape I think, you could take some little from Galaz and Belgorod...

And I had got something about baronies... but I completely forgot what was that :blush:

Great! more work:p, looks like this will be one of the biggest updates I have made:D
Lublin goes to Poland and Moldovia definatly needs a big makeover.
Not totally shure about what to do about Ujvar. Trouble is that It looked like this in the middleages, however I have a sneaky feeling that it must have been two seperate counties that has been joined, will start looking for what the predecessors were.

Hi,

First of all sorry for my bad English. Újvar founded I. Szent István (Stephen I of Hungary). The county was very specific features. The county field was seperated two parts (later Szepes 13-14th century and Abaúj second half of the 13th century).
