The Dragonkin is a society mod for Crusader Kings 2. A secret society; those who join wish to embrace their draconic heritage and transform into real dragons! The society grants several powerful boons: themed around draconic relics, hoarding gold and dragon culture.

According to legend, dragons once roamed the earth long ago. They were terrible creatures, bringing fire and ruin to all that opposed them. Such beasts no longer exist today, yet some claim to have ancestry tied to these ancient dragons. Could it be true? There are whispers of a community of draconic descendants who seek to fulfil their heritage. When dragons roam the Earth again, will they bring life or destruction?

Features
  • Amass a treasure hoard and hidden vault!
  • Hunt down and find ancient draconic relics!
  • Unlock dragon abilities such as fiery breath and dragon heart!
  • Transform into a dragon and enforce draconic rule over the peasants!

I've started up an LP to show off the new features, as well as have some fun with Iron Century! Daily uploads until it's done. Naturally it'll take a while to show off everything but hope you'll enjoy it all the same.

Feel free to discuss the mod on my Discord Server if you have feedback or questions.

I was always curious why no one has made a society mod where you turn into a monster like a vampire or unicorn or whatever. Good job!
Thank you! Yeah it was a fun concept for me to work on, plus I wanted to make sure the society a practical alternative to the usual Hermetic/Warrior Lodge options.

a nice way to bring in animal races into the game!

Thanks for the Creative Mod.
Icing on the already lovely Cake would be: Dynamic Dragon Portraits.
I would love some more portraits, it would be hard to match the original art style. Specifically I would want some whelps to replace the eggs as while the eggs are a fun easter egg (heh) it makes more sense for the children to be hatched already as they are being interacted with in events and such

Well, the dragon artwork already is a bit mismatching compared to the "standard" CK2 artwork, so I for one wouldn't mind external artwork if it means more variety than "egg", "red" and "black".

I think it might be too easy for the AI to join. 180 people are a part of this group in my game. Prehaps add a genetic trait called dragon blood that allows people to join? Or force people to have the traits greedy and mystic?

Not sure on the specifics of interactions with dragons in the GoT mod, but one of my cousins joined this society and then turned into a dragon, triggering the GoT events where I could either attempt to tame him myself or call for courtiers to try to tame him.
