Yeah I had that same ctd.

Yeah I had that same ctd.

Which CTD are you referring to? The one reported by Teutonic_Thrash? If so: Those bookmarks shouldn't be visible if you use 1.0.282

I tried what was suggested and it still doesn't finish loading.

What version of CK2 are you using? Which DLC do you own? I usually run it with all DLC I own which is most of them.
I have a hard time figuring out what is wrong with your copy of the mod as most people seem to be able to get it to work just fine :/

Well at least the short stories are pretty damn great in German as well ;)

Have you read the new book? If so, do you remember names of people and cities (like Rissberg) that should be woven into the mod?

Yeah I've read it recently and I think I remember most of the elements or I can always check them in the book, so I can offer a help if you need it :)

Try running the mod without any DLC if you have them. I had the same problem, I fixed it by deactivating all my DLC and running the mod. when it got to the main menu i exited and reactivated all my DLC....iv had to repeat this with every new version of witcherkings :)

Huh ... that's weird. I always run it with all DLC on. From time to time I have to delete the flags folder from the cache but that's all. I am open for suggestions on this part ...

You can only create a duchy if you own the capital personally. Is this problematic for you?_

Okay, first, its allow = { capital_scope = { province_id = X } }, which means that your capital must be the associated province. Not that you own it, but that it is your capital province. That means that you can only create more than one title a generation if they all have the exact same capital. But either way you can only go up once per tier once a generation, because you need two lower tier titles to make a higher tier one. Also means that usurping will be problematic.

But I assume that's an error in the code, and you meant something along the lines of allow = { has_landed_title = { (capital county title here) } }. However, even that is both annoying (as increasing the size of vassals requires revoking the capital title to permit yourself to create it) and actually realm crippling, as technology can't advance nearly as fast in the realm. Its acceptable for GOT, because A) No tech, and B) they have systems in place to ensure title distribution regardless.

Also, its duchy and above, not just duchy. k_sodden has it too.

There should be some kind of limits, mostly because of the big Nilfgaard blob, we don't want the emperor be able to create all those titles below him. But the requirements could be changed to something less restrictive like -your capital must be within de jure territory of the title.

Sounds reasonable. I will regenerate the landed titles with this fix.

That takes care of a grand total of one problem, as it would permit you to upgrade from single duchy to king within a single generation. It still leaves the issues that the monarch will have to personally deal with every little rebellion because most of his vassals will be too weak to do anything, it makes the succession ridiculously easy (a handful of powerful dukes will screw with your succession a lot more than a massive amount of weak counts), and it still cripples the realm tech wise.

Also, the AI emperor will never do that. You have AI_emperor_creates_kingdoms and AI_always_creates_duchies both set to 0, so the AI won't set it up. You'd only have to worry about players doing that, and lets be honest; a player with a realm the size of Nilfgaard is going to just WC if they can survive the first succession crisis.

The mod looks interesting, but I know almost nothing about The Witcher's Setting beyond the bare bones(what the witchers are, humans are racist, and that's about it). Where would you recommend as a starting area in the mod?

One of the human Northern Kingdoms.

First of all, may I say congratulations! I love the Witcher universe and this mod does it justice indeed. I've spent countless hours on it and endless fun, and for that I thank you! Secondly, I wanted to ask about the Coat of Arms that are used in your mod and was wondering if these could, somehow, be transferred to another mod; for instance, the Game of Thrones mod lacks the brilliant CoAs in Ruler Designer that are available in yours. If this is possible I was wondering how I could go about applying these CoAs to other mods for my own personal gameplay use.

If you could reply, that'd be great. :)

What you are referring to are most likely the COAs of Arko's Armories. I don't think that it is all that easy to add those to AGOT as it might not be easily possible to run AGOT and ARKO's alongside. Also the hedgeknight COAs might be possible to be picked in ruler designer (at least once they were). Those are originally from AGOT so you could activate them quite easily.
