Thanks for report. Found and fixed problem. It will be in next version.

Actually the next version was supposed to be yesterday, but it was delayed so it will be released in one of the next few days.

Oh I forgot. Adventurers doesn't working too. I had event "blablabla I'm taking army and go far away, now I'am "Random of Random host" but on the next day his title vanishes. The same when someone was going to attack me.

Witcher Kings 0.3.1 (REV 533)

Download: Mediafire
Mirror: Dropbox

Compatible with 2.1.6.

The highlights of this release are flavour and events (pilgrimage, tournament, school of thought, ~100 new events from VIET and tPatT), non-human features (CBs, holy orders and Scoia'tael improvements) and lastly completed Assassin of Kings storyline events for Saskia, Henselt and Stennis (special thanks to Jmyster for writing localizations). I also have nagging feeling that I have forgotten something that was supposed to be in this update, but I can't remember what, so if you ran into something that is obviously missing please inform me. Of course, for full changelog see changelog.txt.

Another new thing is that SVN tickets and milestones feature have been put to good use. Those who are wish to see where this mod is going, the planned feature in general and those for next version can visit our SVN repository (link is in first post).

If anyone wants to help out with this mod contact JonStryker or me or post on this thread. We are looking for any help we can get - scripters, history writers, artists. If you cannot help the mod by contributing to it do post your feedback, bugreports or ideas for features and events you would like to see.

The next version will be pretty soon (in 2 -3 weeks). The main features planned are:
  • Halflings.
  • New traits (3 lifetsyle, 2 personality, 1, few congenital traits) and events about them.
  • Improved Imperial Authority available to all empires, it will make playing empire and holding them together a bit harder.
  • Reworked duel system (finally complete).
  • Education system inspired by AGOT mod.
  • Lore Scoia'tael leader will be able to appear during Scoia'tael revolts.

Thanks for the great mod guys.

I've just noticed that Hugo of Rivia, 2nd consort of Queen Bienvenu of Temeria and father of King Medell, is missing.

The Unicorn and Baldwin bloodlines have the same coat of arms, which is Cintra's. Also Cintra's bloodline is bugged called, ravens_blood.

Would it be possible to give Aryan La Valette's father the nickname, "Old Baron" or "the Old"?

Yeah really great so far, I like the new events a lot. One thing though, maybe for next version is to give some of the characters fixed education traits. Like Prince Stennis for example, I played with him and he got the Polymath trait, which isn't really thaaat accurate haha. I would do it myself but it seems whenever I try to give Stennis a trait in the character file, he and his dynasty just disappear and Aedirn is grayed out when I start a new game. Also, the second assassination event is empty it just says "Second Assassination Event" not sure if that was intended for this version or not. But really, great work awesome mod it's a lot of fun!

Does Saskia still have love affairs and bastards like crazy? I noticed that in the old version that I was just playing and came here to report it only there's a new version so um.. I feel it shouldn't happen anyway.

I should've added that guy a long time ago. My theory was that he is the reason Foltest refers to Meve, the queen of Lyria, as "cousin". The Lyrian dynasty is still mostly missing due to the fact that I wasn't quite sure how to handle this.

The assassination text is intended I haven't got it yet. As for education traits - sure I could add them, do you have any ideas about which characters should have which educations?

Thanks about bloodlines, I knew I forgot something.

Also will add "the Old" nickname to him.

Again there's really no solid accurate trait for most of these people as there isn't that much information about it but if I had to guess about what would be education traits would work for the ruling/most powerful characters it would be:

Prince Stennis - Misguided Warrior or Tough Soldier - Just because he doesn't seem super capable like his father was, and was greatly overshadowed by Saskia, but still seems more like a martial person than anything else. Maybe you could give him a trained warrior fighting trait too

King Niedamir - Maybe like Skilled Tactician - Because he managed to overtake two other kingdoms and form the Hengfor's League so obviously he would have a fairly good tactical mind and a solid head for warfare to be able to do that.

King Esterad Thyssen - I would say possibly Intricate Webweaver - Because when he had to flee Kovir and live in exile he basically plotted with secret alliances and such things to get back his throne, rather than attacking with an army straight up. Also he didn't oppose Nilfgaard in the open during their first invasion, but he secretly helped them by releasing prisoners and such, so I think he's a big schemer/plotter.

Don't know too much about the rest but those three are fairly important characters so I think it's best to give them some fixed educations but your call :)

Yeah it could be why he calls her cousin and it's not a problem, just noticed Hugo was missing and thought I'll mention it.

Cool thank you and it's no problem.

Thanks, added these, if you have more ideas about traits post them too.

In the next version some canon Scoia'tael commanders will have a chance to appear as revolt leaders, so I would appreciate some help with their traits (especially since in W1 I played Order's path and in W2 - Roache's path).

The important characters are Iorveth, Ele'yas, Yaevinn, Toruviel and Isengrim. In addition there are few minor book characters, but it shouldn't be any problem to leave them without traits - Angus Bri Cri, Coinneach Dá Reo and Riordain.

Iorweth from the games and Isengrim from the books are pretty much the same guy so using similar traits isn't that much of a stretch.

Here are my suggestions for Iorweth (and yes, I like him more than Roche):
- Education: "Skilled Tactician" or "Brilliant Strategist"
- Scarred, obviously
- Quick to reflect him being a pretty good fighter
- Fighter trait: skilled_warrior or master_warrior
- Inspiring Leader
- imho not a racist; his driving force is to save his people, not to kill humans
- owns a zefhar_bow
- proud kinda fits him
- He is certainly not: craven, shy, content, arbitrary, trusting, slothful, gluttonous, greedy
- 1-3 good traits would fit him: diligent, ambitious, patient, temperate, just (?), ...
- from the negatives: maybe paranoid, cynical

Saskia should be set as his lover. Roche as his rival.

Whaaaat Roche is so much cooler than Iorveth! :p

I agree with all those traits listed above though I wouldn't particularly give him just in my opinion. As far as his warrior trait goes, he seems evenly matched in terms with Roche in the game, so I'd say whatever fighting trait you gave Roche, Iorveth should get the same. Proud would definitely fit him I think as well yeah.

I never did the succubus quest for Ele'yas so don't know too much but from watching a playthrough he is supposed to be one of the best warriors in Iorveth's unit so skilled warrior I would say... As well he is supposed to be young and rash so like proud and brave maybe I dont know

For Yaevinn... an intrigue education like intricate webweaver or something or maybe a diplomacy education? Also the poet lifestyle trait. A skilled fighter trait probably and maybe deceitful and cynical as well...

Toruviel definitely has proud but not sure what else for her maybe trained warrior
