I am sure this has been asked before...

If I merely edit already existing event files, the scenario files, and the country.inc files, and don't touch anything else, and create no new files, so that the game still retains it Vanilla Checksum will the game load in MP as a scenario, or is it necessary for all players to have newly created events loaded onto their system?

Stated another way, do the event files fire from the hosts computer or is it necessary to have exactly the same event files on each PC in the game? Also, what of AI_Switches?

As far as I know all computer must have exactly the same files

The scenario files order the inclusion of specific files on scenario upload, like the "country.inc" files. And also "AI_event" files. So they have those files loaded as part of the scenario, I think.

Are the "human-country" event files they uploaded too at game start, along with the "country.inc" files and the AI_event" files or are the fired on the host machine, and the results uploaded to no-hosting machines during play... or what?

If the "human-country" event files are fired on the host machine would that only be a problem if the no-host was trying to access database information that is not contained in their data files, such as the Map.CSV files, and the Excel files for leaders and minsters and the like?

I guess I am trying to find out if there is a way you can do "surface" modifications and keep the game vanilla, as opposed to "deep" modification, so that one can simply have players join without having them load up a whole series of edited files to their machine prior to game start.
