Modding Music

I've changed the music, renaming the songs to the number file names used in the game. I've reconciled the music.txt file to ensure I have the same numbering and order, but for some reason, after either a few or several songs, it just stops playing. I am at a loss as to why. Once I have this problem fixed I would like to expand beyond the number of original songs, is this possible? Not giving up.

Easiest thing to do is to disable the music in the settings and just play any music you want on Winamp or another player in the background.

Easiest thing to do is to disable the music in the settings and just play any music you want on Winamp or another player in the background.

Does anyone have any ideas about what could be the problem?
