I'm about to despair ... I tried my best, but I didn't get it working....

Can someone pls explain me how to create a new duchy?
What I've still done:
- new dynastie
- a character for the dynastie
- made him a count

All I want is creating a "de Jure" Duke and Count of one Province

In character history, how do "properties", "dna" (...) work?

I still haven't gotten into advanced scripting stuff, but I can answer this. dna and properties will accept a string of 11 and 6 characters (respectively), inside quotes. These characters can either be a letter of the alphabet (that corresponds to one or more portrait features, as defined in interface\portrait.gfx and interface\portrait_properties.txt), or the number '0', which AFAIK means "random". I haven't tried adding more features (which would mean longer dna strings), but it might be possible to do so.
